when you look at it that way,we could all take pay cuts if government wasn’t so busy trying to redistribute our earnings.
not saying i want less money but sure as heck want less government.

The problem of course is that a lack of funds hasn't stopped the federal government from simply printing the money it needs instead.

I made the mistake of reading the comments following the article:

If…and that is a real stretch…but if the Government owns 30% of the wealth in this country, then that is a good thing.

They will at least spread it around to many that have needs but no means to acquire that wealth. In fact, perhaps it should go to 80% rather than 30%.”

Holy crap!

Thanks. We have been at it for a while and have until August 24th for the primary. We now need to get Neal Cavuto up to date on the most recent polls (especially the latest Rasmussen). It would pain Neal to know that MSNBC has more up to date information than he does.

It is unusual that Mornin’ Joe has had far better coverage of Marco than Fox News has had up to this point. Visit www.marcorubio.com to see some of the appearances he has made.

True. Also, most families now depend on 2 wage earners -- one supports the family, and one supports the government. And THAT isn't sufficient for the needs of government. As you say, they still need to print funny money to pay for their schemes.

Government is insatiable -- and that is why pitiful cries from government about doing things "for the children" should always be ignored. They don't need MORE money. They need a hell of a lot less. Cut, cut, cut, cut, cut.

Best spoken by someone who never worked a day in their life and has nothing to lose.

I told my newly converted sweetie yesterday that Sarah may not be enough, by the time this doofus gets done. He’s going to screw things up so bad that my beloved President Ronald Reagan would even be nonplussed.

Did I already mention how pissed off I am?

Include into that the 10’s of trillions of unfunded liabilities at all levels of government, not only federal.

This administration is doing the work of all communist powers, taking from the poor and giving to themselves.

IOW, the values of 2007 were not real, they were merely an illusion.

Tell that to my mortgage company. They still want payment for the fully inflated, near-peak purchase price of my home.

Lawyers are scum.

Cheers!

"Lawyers are scum."

To revise and extend my remarks (my wife stepped into the room just as I was typing, and, ahem, distracted me) while I wrote that.

Lawyers are *indeed* scum, but in the last post, I meant to point out that *bankers* are scum...

Cheers!

I assume you borrowed the money from them to buy the house, and then they have the nerve to want you to repay the amount of money you borrowed.

I’m not surprised you’re unhappy with them.

That's not why I'm upset.

I'm upset at the vermin who invented the idea of securitizing and bundling mortgages together, thereby causing a temporary bubble in housing prices.

And then having the nerve to look surprised at the black swan event; and then getting bailed out, instead of being sentenced to hard labor or executed.

Cheers!
