You are right. I read my post and I left out a part of a sentence. It made things a little unclear. I was for Hoffman, but I think that the Republican party did him a huge disservice. Had it not been for them he really stood a good chance. I was just comparing him to Christie ,who was not supposed to win, but had a very well run, organized campaign. The democratic candidate in NY-23 did not manage to receive the majority vote. Had the votes not been split between Scozzafava and Hoffman, Hoffman might have won. That was the fault of the republican party. Not to mention all the drama from Scozzafava. It would have been tough for anyone to win under those circumstances.

Ahhh, thanks! Total agreement regarding the republican party. Not only did they back scuzzy, they ran ads against Hoffman. No surprise there, the party professionals do not like us conservatives.

We always have 2010 to kick the repubes butts into place!!!

Bob — WTH are you talking about? Do you realize Hoffman ALMOST WON? That if the GOP hadn’t bungled the nomination by putting in a liberal (and tearing down Hoffman) that would have been the boost we needed? Not to mention the traitor liberal RINO endorsed the Dimocrat!

Face it: the powers that be wanted to shift the GOP left, far left. We said, “Hell no” and we almost won, all we’d have needed is the GOP to stand up for conservative values instead of selling us down the river.

It sure as heck IS the fault of Newt and the GOP leadership, and I hope they are thinking VERY VERY hard about the future of this party. Because if they don’t stop this suicidal push to the left, they are going to lose — first: their soul, second: our support, and third: every election from now on.

And you can take that to the bank.

>>Are you denying that the Local GOP hierarchy in the 23rd CB got together and backroomed Scazzafava into the slot??

There’s the million dollar question.

This election was a warning to the wheeler/dealers in the local GOP backrooms across the country, as well as to national “leaders” like Newt. Move left and lose, or get someone with integrity and conservative values and win.

I agree with pretty much everything you say.

Since the majority of 23 voters voted either Conservative or Republican, in reality the Democrat definitely lost, which is the important thing. So I really can't quite understand the 'rat gloating. They should be terrified.

Terrified because if the Republican coalition of religious, fiscal, military and social conservatives ever pull together instead of standing apart, an actual working majority of our people will be able to ride to the defense of the country like the cavalry. And no Leftist movement will stand.

I can't help but believe the "RINO" screaming banshees who have invaded FR and who have no solutions except to "sweep 'em all out!" aren't really on our side.

“Didn’t you dress up like a penis or something at a Clinton protest?”

No. But that is what you get called when you disagree with the brownshirts on FR.

“Point them out and we will remove them.”

Is your name Seve Van Doorn ROBINSON? Are you a mod?

If not I guess you could always find Jim Robinson and hit him over the head until he agrees to remove the participants you deem unnacceptable...

you are making no sense at all. If they are brown shirts they would be removed for the conduct. I have the power of the abuse button you or I can hit.

True, that was a given. However, he didn’t highlight that as much as he focused on fiscal conservatism. Depending on the state, we can’t be surprised (or upset) when certain candidates downplay their social conservatism in lieu of pushing fiscal conservatism. What plays in Georgia won’t necessarily play in Colorado or Virginia.

LOL, do you think that McDonell wasn’t ask about abortion during the debates?

40% of Americans consider themselves conservatives, only about 20% Republicans and the same Democrats.
