that’s what I heard also. I guess she was shocked that he was a life long Muslim???
To: JeepInMazar
She was apparently shocked that his cousin kept repeating the murderer was “a good American”.

What did the cousin say?
The jist of what he said is that he is shocked and saddened, etc. My impression was that it was the standard (somewhat scripted) moderate / complacent Muslim response.

I didn’t hear the entire interview, but the cousin did abruptly say goodbye to Shep, for whatever reason, after Shep pressed some more questions on him....not sure what that was all about, either........

It's hard to know if she was shocked that the cousin would make such a statement or if she was shocked at something else the he said.
I wish Smith would asked a follow question because it is really unclear what she is shocked about.

Yes, that was interesting. I wonder if the extended family members he was with in the room were telling him to cut off the interview.

The clown kept insisting that his cousin was a “great American,” who was the real victim here.
And when Shep asked if his cousin had anger problems? The guy sniffed, “Ha, him? Never.” As if, how dare you ask - after he wiped out 12 and wounded 30+.
The guy was on crack.

He said he was a good American.
You can’t be good Muslim and anything else.
The guy was in the military BEFORE 9-11. He was a Muslim born here. He was o.k., apparently with being in the U.S. military until it started fighting Muslims.
Muslims may NEVER fight other Muslims for the benefit of infidels.
Despite his requests to be released from the military and requests not to be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan, he was being detailed there.
And, so, he responded - like a Muslim.

Yep- she and Shep were both “shocked” by the cousin.
I wasn’t. I was enraged.

Yes. That's what concerns me. If Kay Bailey Hutchison is shocked at such a response from those who she might perceive as a moderate Muslim (the cousin being interviewed), it shows her ignorance of what we are dealing with or her unwillingness to express her disgust.
I wonder if Shep simply missed an excellent opportunity to ask a follow-up question because he wanted to ask other things or if he didn't want to take the conversation there because of his unwillingness to state a few obvious things about the religion of peace.

Yes. It’s unbelievable. I know for a fact that there are military leaders who know and understand what is going on with the infiltration of America’s enemies. But I fear that because of political correctness, they too are unwilling to speak the truth.

Being a good American doesn’t involve murder. But being a good Muslim does.
