And to think those two are actually paid to think that stuff up. :-)

4. Poor people may have less time on their hands and can’t afford gym memberships, equipment, etc.

5. Many educated people fail to grasp that you must burn more calories than you consume to lose weight and stay in shape, so it stands to reason that less educated people would have a problem with it as well.

4. My dad's parents were poor dirt farmers and were not fat. Walking is FREE.

5. BS. You lave to be less than stupid to not make the connection between weight, food intake, and burning calories.

The fact of the matter is that MANY poor people eat junk food because they are TOO LAZY to prepare a nutritious meal.

I know, I was amazed! I'd always thought obesity was the result of melting icecaps. :-)

There has to be some kind of bell curve involved here.

Slash the minimum wage Welfare by 50 percent.

Let's see what that does.

But, isn’t that what it’s for? I found a full time engineering job in July, and never looked back. This is what welfare is for, not a lifelong career, but a helping hand in times of need.

Exactlly!! God bless you and much success in the future.

I don't mind in the least paying to help people like you. Unfortunately you are the exception, not the rule.

This was back in the early 90’s, sorry to leave out that fact. It was really troubling for me to do that, but I knew the outcome would be better if I was able to finish my degree, and move on.

What'll they think of next?!?!?

Let's just raise the minimum wage to $1000/hr so we can all get skinny and rich at the same time!

You’re exactly right - welfare is temporary and not supposed to be a lifestyle.

Sounds like they want people to feel guilty about enjoying anything. I for one will be enjoying all the home cooked goodies I make for my family that I bought for really cheap using lots of coupons :)

Geez, smoothsailing, you come up with real good threads to expose the babbling stupidity of the left. This one is no exception.

OKAY! Let us analyze this. According to David, an insult to the Biblical nom-de-plume of a true king, and Zhuo, whose ancestors or present-day family can pose for Year of the Monkey at anytime or anyplace, have declared that the more poor you are, the more fat you are.

Analyzing that, we should expect that any moment we will see long-supressed pictures of really fat Nazi camp prisoners and gulag prisoners tripping over their stomachs.

David and Zhuo should be embarassed by their stupidity, but I expect that would require some modicum of shame. And I can’t think of a single leftist who has been ashamed of his previous behavior except David Horowitz, a very brave man.

Bravery does not assign itself to American leftists. You could travel to a dozen leftist cities and not raise a single Lincoln Brigade platoon. American leftists are fat and stupid cowards. That’s their weakness. And obuma leads the pack.

The only reason king obuma occupies the Whitehouse is because men - and there are no men amongst the American left - respect the rule of law. If American men decide that king obuma doesn’t respect the rule of law, think French revolution times three.

I don’t know about that. It’s more expensive when you take all the costs into account to keep your fridge full with foods from scratch. A block of cheese which might last me half a week, costs me about 10 dollars.

1. You need to have an automobile. If you don’t have a car, it makes it very hard to transport food and groceries back. I’ve done it on busses, and it’s really quite difficult and you can only transport what you can carry.

2. Waste. You waste more food when you’ve got some in the fridge that you don’t eat. For a family, yes, prepared food makes sense.

3. What about all the cooking essentials. If you are building up stuff from scratch you have to buy utensils, pots, pans, spices etc, all of that just to cook a simple meal.

Great post, sergeantdave!

As good little leftists, David and Zhuo believe that there was no science before Federal funding.
