The Feds intend to access everyone’s bank account directly to extract universal healthcare “fees”. So it is important to them that everyone has a bank account.

I personally know 3 black people that do not use banks. One doesn’t trust them, one would rather deal in cash, the other says he doesn’t need a bank.

Low income folks no matter what color of skin they have are not going to get a bank loan.

Free Universal broadband Internet, online banking, and automatic welfare deposits for everyone (except taxpayers).

You forgot free cell phone/Blackberry service paid for by the rest of us, which has already been implemented.

Because the government is going to require access to everyone’s bank account in the healthcare bill.

They can’t have folks out there they can’t track.

Some, not all.

I closed my accounts at BankAmerica in the ‘90s because they were taking advantage of illegals by charging $1 for a deposit slip to put money IN THEIR BANK!

I’d like to give illegals a plane ride back home and show them the fast way down without a parachute but $1 for a piece of small paper is a ripoff. Let the bankers who came up with this scam show them the way.

Lately BankAmerica has connected their branches across countries so illegals can open an account in two countries and link them. Like Citicorp they are global banking companies thru subsidiaries.

Blacks have their own problems. I used to walk past a check cashing “cabin” on Market St in Philly when I was in school. The cabin was tiny, waste of a hot real estate spot and you can bet they were overcharging the poor fools using their services.

Right down the block was a First Pa. bank, now part of Wells Fargo thanks to many mergers who offered free accounts as I recall for as little as a $25 deposit back then.

Why do I smell a Jesse Jackson/ Alsharpton/ ACORN style shakedown coming to someone...somewhere...who’s managed to scam a ton directly out of Congress into their coffers....

Hey guess what FDIC, it ain’t only the po folk that don’t have bank accounts. Like many things, it’s the same at both ends of the economic scale but for different reasons.

People with money and brains are keeping their cash out of the U.S. banking system for any number of reasons:
- identity theft
- an ever-increasing list of government entities able to seize your account via an ever-increasing list of reasons
- the FDIC is broke
- handing over your money for 1% interest or less, isn’t as good as “the mattress” at 0%
- less loss of privacy by using cash instead of a debit/credit card

We need universal banking insurance to guarantee that every american has full access to all the banking services they need when they need it.

And we need a trillion dollars of new taxes so we can subsidize the poor who are traditionally denied equal access to banks and banking-type services.

I think they live in places where no banks are willing to operate. Too much crime, can’t protect their employees, can’t keep the banks from being robbed.

It also might mean that poor people can’t get loans, but that’s not an ‘access’ problem.

BINGO!!!

.....according to this article, I am "underbanked" as I only have a small checking account that I call my Opperating Fund. None of my accumulated "wealth" is in banks.....not even in my safe deposit box. I may not be able to stop the govt. from inflating away my money, but I can damn sure control my access to it.
