RE: Being a young liberal firebrand. I was the same way myself. I grow more conservative as I get older it seems. The day I discovered just how blind I was was watching the media coverage of the OKC bombing. I remember them talking about the 2nd suspect, and then suddenly no-one spoke about him anymore in the coverage... From that day on I realized that the news I thought I was receiving via the media was incredibly distorted. I learned a LOT in the years since...

As for these kids, you’re right in that they’re pretty harmless for the most part - hopefully in their travels on the web they will grow up a bit (if they spend time here it’ll start to rub off on them whether they want it to or not... LOL). Life will (hopefully) teach them the rest...

For a few years I was pretty active in politics - had my name in the papers, etc... It was the older folks claiming to have “itchy trigger fingers”, and the real-life threats to me and my family and such that bothered me much more so than folks like the ones who put this site together. Teasing and such is different from what I went through, and that’s the reason I decided to quit politics as far as working on campaigns and such. Not that I’ve shut up, mind you! LOL

I too, am a firm believer in Freedom of Speech and Expression. And I definitely understand where you’re coming from.

It’s a shame these folks can’t use their creativity to do something more worthwhile, and something that might actually make a difference in our world. If they are so concerned about Freedom, and Liberty then why are they wasting their time on us, ya know?

Oh well... Kids will be kids I guess. I sure hope learning the hard way isn’t TOO hard on them or their loved ones. I may not be enamored of these folks, but no-one deserves to suffer under a tyrannical government... Too many of them are blind, ignorant and to use Lenin’s phrase they are merely “useful idiots”. They say the Govt health care will work and why we should have it and yet i have lived in the UK including me thinks it works.
