You’re right about W being light years better the Obozo in this regard.

I don’t think he did everything he could though.Mainly by not using profiling for security screenings or controlling immigration.

Bush did pretty good- and he pushed what he did right to the limit of what was possible may that be with GITMO, interrogations, funding for the DoJ, NSA, CIA, DoD, Patriot Act, reorganization of agencies (TSA etc)............. He thumped our allies on their heads forcing them to do more than they really wanted too, they tried to reform NATO, they went after terrorists in places like Yemen, Philippines, and elsewhere, places that are now in the media because they are terrorist safe havens.

Bush did all he could, but even he has a public, courts, legislature, budget constraints, allies, states and other variables that constrain what he did. He wasn't king George that is omnipotent and all have to bow to his whim.
