That strategy wouldn’t surprise me. The party leaders are also asking incumbents not to run. They are putting up new Dems to replace the old ones, then advertising the new Dems as “change” from the old way of doing things. What a joke....
In my opinion they will delay this certification, but in any event, it is my opinion that they cannot allow the temporary Senator to continue to sit after the election is over. Either way, he cannot vote after Tuesday.
Whether Brown is certified as the winner by the Mass. Legislature is another issue.
One does not start when the other ends.
Either way, Brown’s salary begins the day after his election.
There is precedent for all of this, inluding rulings by Congressional hearings.
This race will be heavily exit polled. If FOX announces Brown the winner just after the polls close it should be an interesting night if the RATS try to pull some sh!^.
All eyes of the nation are on this election. If they try to delay his seating all hell will break loose, and they know it.

But, given that We The People are Sovereign and that the “Democrats” are but our servants, they had better well remember the admonition to the effect the if you are going to kill the king, you had better bloody-well kill him!
