are realizing their mistake and are taking appropriate action.

It wasn't a mistake. Regrettably, it was a bitter pill that had to be taken.

I made the statement that we might have been better off if John Kerry has won in 2004. My reasoning: Bush wouldn't have pushed as many spending bills, amnesty, amnesty, amnesty, and more spending. The negative would have been the 2 SC appointments. However, Prez Kerry would have then been the one at the helm when the economic crash started in late 2007. And as a result, the GOP might have nominated someone other than McCain in 2008, since McCain would have probably been Kerry's SoSt or SoDef. Kerry would have sought reelection in 2008 and might have lost to a better GOP nominee, and we might not have had Obama in the WH.

If if if...

At least now, Scott Brown may be the 'Scott' hear around the world, in the ranks of the Dems and in the ranks of the GOP. But alas, the GOP leadership frequently seem to be tone deaf.

Obozo won’t do Cap and Trade. He will impose it by using the EPA. Just wait.

I detest pollers but Rasmussen did say it was only his “guess” not polling when he predictied that Coak would win by 1%.

I thought they’d been in a lose-lose situation since the day LBJ put his hand on that Bible...

You hit the nail on the head!

Obama, Reid, and Pelosi have boxed themselves into a corner.

If they move to the center, not only will it be alien territory for them (Obama has no comprehension of how the free markets operate) but it will be seen by their true constituents, the radical left, as a repudiation of all their values and a stab in the back.

And if Obama hunkers down in the socialist bed he has made for himself, he will be abandoned by all those DIM's who feel threatened by the Mass Rebellion and will cast himself as a symbol for all that Revolution seeks to overthrow.

Bottom line: "Ain't this a loverly day!!!"

I suspect you are right here. Cram thru as much of his agenda as possible via executive orders and fiat. It’s the only shot he has at getting his wingnut base fired-up for November.

Congratulations to Chris Christy. Is there any chance NJ will vote out of office some of those Dems in your legislature? They are going to make Christy as miserable as they can.

Will Scott start honestly reporting the polling numbers again?

My thoughts exactly. They've got something over Scott (threat that he might actually be conservative is my guess), and all of a sudden he goes limp. Sounds all too much like Zogby of 8-10 years ago. Pollsters - damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The Dems have always had a problem looking at possible adverse consequences of their proposals. One of the worst examples is the terrible damage done to Black families and the Black community by Johnson's Aid to Dependent Children program. Give money to "families" without a husband/father and guess what happens to Daddy.......

"inept buffoon"

You got that right. The Dems should have nominated Shrillery. She would have not made nearly as many mistakes as Obama. Even though her proclivities tend towards the far reaches like Obama, her hubby would have dissuaded her from most of the nuttier leftist ideas. I'll bet Slick Willy is chuckling in private over The Great Spreader's woes.

The negative would have been the 2 SC appointments.

That's a helluva negative! 2 libs in Robert's and Alito's places would change the complexion of the country for a generation or more. The consequences would be unthinkable.

“McCain lost because of that sudden out of the blue financial crisis that happened to come right when Sarah was pulling ahead in the race....”

I most certainly wasn't pleased with McCain as a candidate, I felt better after Sarah Palin came on board, altho I realized that a VP slot is really not all that influential, but at least she was a conservative. But when the (oh so opportunistic) financial crisis happened I knew McCain was doomed. And call me a tinfoil fanatic but I'll never believe the financial crisis breaking at that moment wasn't deliberate (thinking Soros here).

If Kerry had won in 2004, the Islamists would be in charge of Iraq by now, and Putin probably would have sent them back Saddam’s WMDs.

See, folks, this is what happens when your POTUS is an empty suit, incompetent, socialist, communist, facist loser. He is drunk with power and ego, as are all the Democrat Party seeking to destroy America!!! They think we the folks that make Amerca run every day as the greatest country in the world are idiots. The elite snobs that these people are have absolutely no understanding of us common folk and think we are all dumb buffoons. Most Americans would not allow Barack Obama, his America hating wife, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, etc. to dump their evening garbage. If these fools think they can sucker us by ramming their agenda forward, the Scott Brown victory last night was just the opening to the total destruction of the Democrat Party this coming November!!! The best thing the Democrat Party could for its own survival and salvation is to get Obama to resign instantly or, impeach him as rapidly as possible!!!!

They are in a no win situation just how big the blood bath will be in November.

The best term I have heard for this was to choose between embarrassment and annihilation. If they oust Pelosi as speaker, dump Obamacare, move to the middle and focus on cost cutting and job creation they can probably contain their losses to the 27 seats the party in power usually loses during a mid term election. A pounding, but the stay in control of the house until 2012.

Or they can follow San Fran Nancy off the cliff. They have over 60 seats in districts that went for Bush in 2004. You have to figure that they will probably lose at least 4 out of 5 of those. That is 48 seats right there. Enough to cost them the house.
