"More people voted to express their support for Barack Obama than to oppose him," Gibbs said.

Translation: "I won."

On the bright side, if they’re “weighing it,” it could be a loooong time.

Yes, his decision to use the words “forty-one” led the people to believe that he would be in full support of the Health Care Bill. Fools all!

“On the bright side, if they’re “weighing it,” it could be a loooong time.”

So true. Didn’t they “weigh” what to do in Afghanistan for about 6 months?

Take your time, Rahm! I would love if they would cram through the current bill in September, just in time to stir back up a huge hornet’s nest by November.

Obama’s goal from the beginning was to have the federal govt. take over everything, and to destroy the middle class. He never expected a second term.

Chris Wallace should have burst out laughing when Gibbs said that. After all, didn’t Alinsky say, “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage”?

Because George Bush made people so angry they just vote against "the establishment." Obama was against George Bush (the establishment) and Brown was against the Massachusetts Democrat machine (also the establishment), so Brown is in sync with Obama. As per Eric Clarified.

Yup, part of The Big 6 they want to ram down our throat: Card Check, Amnesty for illegals, Cap and Tax, Socialized Medicine, the Fairness Doctrine and Gun Control.

"Gibbs said that Brown may have campaigned on stopping the health care bill but that's not why voters elected him over Democrat Martha Coakley."

I think it's quite obvious that voters rejected Martha Coakley because of her close association to George Bush, Dick Cheney, Haliburton and Blackwater....

These people can’t be as blind as this suggests. It’s more likely their was of trying to save face/regain some control of the situation by making it appear this was their idea verses the will of the people.

The Obamunists may be whistling pass the graveyard, or maybe they’ve simply come to believe their own spin. But guess what? Though Obama himself doesn’t have to face the wrath of the voters until 2012, the Congressional Dims have to face them in nine months. And you can bet your bottom dollar that they “get it”. And, Obama as the putative leader of their party no longer strikes the fear of god in their hearts. At 0-3, he’s a proven loser at the election booth. The Congressional Dims no longer fear their President and their putative leader. He’s lost his juice.

The Congressional Dims are now free to pursue their own agenda. Theoretically, all but the Democratic Socialists in their group could join with the GOP to enact useful bipartisan legislation on a variety of issues if they so desired.

From here until 2012, every election in the nation, even local city and county elections, are going to be surrogate elections for Obama and his hated radical socialist policies because this is the only way our nation’s voters can express their outrage until 2012. For the next nine months, the Obamunists won’t be able to muster enough votes in Congress for a National Dog Catchers Day proclamation. After that, the Obamunists become totally irrelevant.

Obama’s goal from the beginning was to have the federal govt. take over everything, and to destroy the middle class. He never expected a second term.

Correct. That was part of the scorched-earth, take-no-prisoners tactics: to secretly eschew a second term, thereby being free of consequences vis-a-vis re-election and thus achieving maximum Presidential power, plus briefly extracting maximum power from Congress by sacrificing the Democrat Party on the alter of ideology.

The Obamunists figured they had two years to enact their radical socialist agenda before the mid-term elections eviscerated the Democrats, since they calculated the Congressional Dims would not wake up to their intentional sacrifice until then, being to stupid to believe otherwise, and thereby enacting the Obamunists' radical socialist agenda

However, the X-factor that the Obamunists couldn't include in their calculations was the death of Ted Kennedy and the subsequent special election right at the cusp of their socialist victory. Furthermore, they never would have believed that a Republican would win that seat with a big margin of victory. And, this would happen in the bluest of blue states, so even the dumb Congressional Dims couldn't fail to see the hand-writing on the wall. It is truly ironic that Ted Kennedy was the one to precipitate the downfall of the Obamunists and the complete destruction of their radical socialist agenda right when victory was at hand.

Maybe our FReeper friend Registered can morph that picture of Gibbs into a semblance of Baghdad Bob. “There is nothing wrong here. Move along...”

Well stated, catnipman!

Thanks for the ping, SJB.

The irony is next to none.

Wasn't it you who told me “God has a sense of humor?”

I will say, “He works in mysterious ways.”
