Actually Palin was already becoming a conservative/republican star, when McCain chose her, she did not come out of nowhere, that is why she was so high in Intrade predictions.

Palin is not Jesus Christ. I may not agree with her on every single choice she makes but right now, she represents my values far more than most other people in the political radar.
Who is that candidate? If you are talking about Hayworth, I’d agree he WOULD be a superior candidate, but he has not announced and does not plan to do so for several weeks.
If he had formally announced, instead of procrastinating for weeks or months, perhaps Palin would have stayed on the sidelines for the primary.
