Thanks for the post, the stories are fascinating.

But I disagree with one aspect - the insistance of the narrator on calling the soldiers and Marines "boys." I don't care what their physical age was, or whether they were scared, or whether they wanted to get home to their mamas or whether they died crying - anyone who could look at their staggering heroism at Iwo Jima and not honor them with the title of "men" is an ass - and dead wrong.
