Not sure how you have zero slave blood because you came from Jamaica. Did you mean “no ancestors that were US slaves”?

I had no idea powell was such a vacant idiot.

I sure did. You see Powell was precursor to Obama. He was the original invented man. Powell didn't have a particularly distinguished career before he was picked out for jobs in the Reagan administration. He was selected because he made friends with a lot of the movers and shakers within both the Reagan and Bush(HW) administrations. Remember once how a lot of people were touting him for president? Preposterous! Yes many people(clowns) were touting him for president even though they didn't have a clue how he stood on the issues of the day. And remember these idiots(and I called a number of them just that to their faces) were Republicans. It was a victory of hype over substance.

No Colin Powell was an affirmative action baby from the get go. Without it he wouldn't have made it past Colonel. But at that time Reagan/Bush needed people who looked like him and he was catapulted into a Job like the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff even though there were more than 20 Army Officers ahead of him in rank and seniority. And it wasn't the Army's turn in the rotation of this job if I remember correctly. It was the Air Force's turn.

No if you could get Generals and others to talk you would find that Powell was a mediocre Military Officer from the start. He was always more political than military.

I wasn't surprised that Powell backed Obama. In fact I'd have been surprised if he didn't. He needed street cred in his social circle. Standing up for principle was never a strong suit for Colin Powell. Let's let him fade away as a real soldier once said.

I regret that at one point Powell had convinced me he had an IQ over 90.

I already lost most of whatever respect I’d had for Powell back when he endorsed Obama to begin with. There’s not much left to lose, politically. (I’m sure he’s a swell guy, good grandfather, that stuff. But his political judgment is hypocritical, racist crap.)

“No regrets” either about not just getting on a helicopter and flying 10 minutes down to My Lai so he might see first hand, rather then sitting down to type up the drivel as he did for the Americal Division commander from his air conditioned hooch in Chu Lai.

He should have been kicked out of the Army for Dereliction of Duty.

Sorry, but this country's military academies and the services have been dishing up PC and diversity crap soup for over 30 years. It's been an advanced version of the same madness they've been feeding our kids in the government schools. It not only explains Powell's idiotic remarks but those of folks with MORE deleterious impact on today's military like the guy quoted below:
Photobucket

Political Correctness:

”A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

By spreading this definition around, perhaps we can employ one of the more effective methods of deflating and defeating the fools who practice and promote it: RIDICULE.

Unless stopped – and soon – PC will DESTROY Western Civilization -- if it hasn’t already.

PASS IT ON!!

THEN PASS THE KOOL AID!!

Affirmative action is wrong but if we have it, it should be only for US blacks who have slave ancestors. If some Jamaican or Haitian immigrates here he should be excluded. Any past slavery on those islands is irrelevant to me

>>Powell noted that “our financial situation is secure now,”

What an idiot. As long as he’s black, it’s cool. We get it.

Powell, you are one mighty d^mba$$ and a con man just like your bro’! YOU have NO authority talking about what American’s want or need. Let’s see where your lies and your racism will get you!

You back black for the sake of truth. Case closed on Powell.

In other words, we are too stupid to understand. IMO, Powell supported Obama because he was black or Powell was never a Republican, period. He can’t have it both ways.

Colin Powell: the most overrated man in America.

Yes, and it bears repeating. He was a snake and is still a snake. Anybody with half a military mind knows that Obama's policies are putting us into a dangerous situation. If Powell doesn't know this, he is even dumber than I thought. So Powell must have sold out for street cred. Saying that he favored Obama because of possible Republican appointees to the Supreme Court is beyond ridiculous.

If the Internet had been around in the early days of the Reagan Administration or by the first Bush administration then we might have exposed this fraud. But sadly at that time there was only the MSM and they promoted this guy even though there was never much to the him.

If Powell has the audacity to show up at any Republican/Conservative events, I hope he is booed off the stage. Let him know what we think of him.

Colin Powell: the most overrated man in America.

I think so too! Not to mention a liar during the Wilson/Plame fiasco.

Just proving he himself was an afirmitive action appointment, with no skills or knowledge.

Precisely.
Is it any wonder he supports America's first affirmative-action president?
