*** Start chasing people down and you are in for some legal trouble. I doubt the laws in MS are much different. ***

Yep.
That was my point about something being wrong with the picture -- My surprise that the Store Owner was released with no charges after 'the chase' and ensuing gun fight.

Maybe there's more to this that wasn't reported?

You have said if someone hurts mine then you would make them pay. That is no different than the store owner making the perps pay for injuring his employee.

Once again you are doing a do as I say not as I say I will do.

There’s no information to assume it wasn’t a reckless chase.

But there is circumstantial evidence that is wasn't reckless....the fact he was released.

Neither of us know, so why don't you stop insisting on something nobody can prove.

“Maybe there’s more to this that wasn’t reported?”
There usually is. There was more than one incident that I was involved in that I read about the next day. The reporting of the events was so wrong that I didn’t realize that it was the same incident.
Also, as soon as the police make an arrest they start the speedy trial clock ticking.

I am from MS and I doubt if he will be charged with anything but you never can tell these days.

I agree with you. That amount of money may not seem like very much but it could have meant eating or going without.

Yep. Don't mess with people in MS. You just might get more than you bargained for. People who own small grocery stores do not make that much money to start with especially in MS. OT. What do you think about State's Varnado being the record setter in blocked shots? State will really miss him this next year.

I doubt they will miss someone who has not played. I had the game on when Varnado broke the NCAA record. That place went nuts as well they should. I will never forget going to the games when we were State students. Babe was the greatest. When I think of State basketball, I think of Bailey Howell who was there way before my time there.

I really don’t follow Basket Ball or Base Ball. When football
seasons ends that is about it for me. Until my grandson starts playing Little League , that is. :>)
And I barely remember Bailey Howell!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason I remember BH is due to the fact he was on the cover of a school magazine. Forgot the name of it. Too much water under the bridge.

I don’t advocate anarchy nor vigilantism, but I do believe we have the ability and authority to defend ourselves and assist in the apprehension of a criminal for delivery to legitimate authority for proper judgment. IMHO, law enforcement should welcome the citizenry supporting it and respecting their efforts to enforce the law, rather than ostracizing the citizenry as subjects who are only to be protected by the LEOs and without any authority themselves.

BTW I always pull for state when they are not playing OM.
The egg bowl cost me a $100 steak dinner this year.
