The Public is invited to a memorial pancake breakfast at Denny’s Restaurant on Douglas Street near Finlayson, 10 am, Sunday March 12, 2006 to celebrate the life and untimely death of Rachel Corrie, Peace Activist with the International Solidarity Movement.
She was in the right place at the right time! That would make a good song.
In the 70’s Headeast a rock band from Missouri had their one famous album “ Flat as a Pancake”

Some people have theorized that Rachel was actually run over by the tread of the bulldozer rather than the blade, but that is not accurate, because if so she would have resembled a waffle rather than a pancake, and would have held syrup better in her little square concavities.
