9 ‘‘(B) GRANDFATHERED HEALTH INSUR 10 ANCE COVERAGE; COVERAGE UNDER GRAND 11 FATHERED EMPLOYMENT-BASED HEALTH 12 PLAN.—Coverage under a grandfathered health 13 insurance coverage (as defined in subsection (a) 14 of section 102 of the America’s Affordable 15 Health Choices Act of 2009) or under a current 16 employment-based health plan (within the 17 meaning of subsection (b) of such section).

Those who now receive their health insurance through their employer(as I do, and btw it is excellent coverage) can kiss it goodbye if this ever comes to pass. I know the company I work for(very large company) will stop offering heath insurance if the public option is ever instituted. And BTW most if not all companies will do so ASAP.

And the U.S. is headed the way of Venezuela. I wonder how long before the guys and gals in the Military wake up to this and stop re-upping. (Or.....maybe they already have started).

Just a small point here, but if this bill is born of fiat, which it appears it will be, then by definition it doesn’t matter what the bill states. Fiat states it can be anything they want it to be anytime they want it. That’s governance by fiat.

Is the MSM going to report that there is a public option in the proposed bill?

Peter Johnson, Jr., commentator on FoxNews just said this morning [3-15-10, abt 7:25 a.m. CT] that there is no bill to examine yet.

Surely, FoxNews is aware of the bill linked on this website. So, is this bill the actual bill?

I just heard on FOX that the Cornhusker kickback, Louisiana purchase abd the Gator Aide is still in there. Most likely more dirty deals to lib states are also in there.

I can’t believe this is happening. This is so wrong. What is right about some states having to pay for other states because of backroom deals?

The REAL short summary is this:

“The content of any final bill is irrelevant. Any federal version of health care on its face is unconstitutional since Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution does not specifically grant Congress the power to regulate health care. The people are not bound to comply with any unconstitutional act of Congress. This is the point people need to be driving home with their Congress critters!” — Man50D. Right, it is unconstitutional because it is not enumerated.

But [sigh], since we know they will pretend it is constitutional ...

From forbes:
“The combined unfunded liabilities of Medicare and Social Security—the federal health care and the pension programs for the elderly—are $107 trillion, seven times the current GDP. Meanwhile, Medicaid, the joint federal-state health insurance program, is consuming on average 21% of state budgets, their single biggest ticket item even before ObamaCare dumps another 16 million people into the program, expanding the Medicaid population by 25%. Beyond that, state and local government have promised their employees a trillion dollars more in pension and other benefits than they have funds to deliver. “

“SCHOOL BASED HEALTH CLINICS”

From page 1011: (SBHC= School based health clinic)
COMPREHENSIVE PRIMARY HEALTH SERVICES.
The term ‘comprehensive primary health services’ means the core services offered by SBHCs, which shall include the following:

PHYSICAL.—Comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of minor, acute, and chronic medical conditions and referrals to, and follow-up for, specialty care.

MENTAL HEALTH.—Mental health assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, treatment, and referral to a continuum of services including emergency psychiatric care, community support programs, inpatient care, and outpatient programs.

OPTIONAL SERVICES.—Additional services, which may include oral health, social, and age-appropriate health education services, including nutritional counseling.

Looks like Planned Parenthood and Kevin Jennings type “age-appropriate health education services” are coming to a school near all of us if this passes. Oh yeah...and it looks like they will be screening kids for “mental illness” too.

There is also a clause in the bill which gives the “Secretary” full decision powers to define and determine the details of what the bill provides or will require. Which in effect, sidesteps any further Congressional authority. Any fees, increases, taxes, rules, regulations etc, which are vital to the bill will be within the powers of this “Secretary” to decide and execute further mandates as deemed necessary.

As I understand it, this ‘move’ is a massive distraction—they intend to empty the contents of this bill, after it moves through certain procedural hurdles—only keeping the “container” and then populate it with all the goodies of their own choosing, bypassing VOTING on those goodies.

This is Zorro in the night. The highest art of “now you see it, now you don’t”.

Soon you don’t know, remember, or have any clear grasp on what you did see, or what was a murky mirage.

YES! And that moment of the deepest fog is the sweet spot for dems to push it through.

It should be illegal.

I will not participate in this. I am declaring this right now. I will go to jail rather than bend to this crap.
