This is a very serious, conservative activism topic on this thread about reshaping congress and the woman that can best effect that, yet you feel the need to change the topic to the Arizona Senate race and hijack the thread, why is that?

Why? Because Sarah's support of John McCain causes me to question her sincerity. That support doesn't fit the rest of what she says and does.

Yes, it is a very serious topic, and Sarah is in the center of them both. I seriously want to know why she's acting in opposition to her own stated beliefs.

Do you think that anyone here does not know that Palin endorsed McCain?

Silly question. Should we stop discussing every subject that FReepers all know about? ...like the Obamacare bill?

Do you think that we are going to get her to retract that endorsement?

I would love that! She doesn't need him, IMO. That would cast her anti-Washington rhetoric in stone.

Do you still show up to protect Mitt Romney here at freerepublic like the old romneybot that you are, Yes.

Cool! You'll just answer for me, huh? That should save me a lot of time.

(P.S. The only "protecting" I do when it comes to Mitt is to attempt to "protect" some degree of truth and sanity now and then on Mitt threads. He's a RINO, and I don't support him.)

Sarah is right to list politicians who should be removed from office, but she is also supporting one who belongs at or near the top of that list. That bothers me.

Okay, Palin has endorsed McCain and is going to campaign for him later this week. She then goes on to the Tea Party rally at Searchlight, Nevada to support efforts to take down Harry Reid.

The question I ask, so what? What does that have to do with this most recent Facebook post? Are you trying to imply that Palin is not sincere, that she is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, that she is a charlatan, or that she is a RINO? If you are, please come out and say it and then move on.

You are the like the posters who are trick ponies who cannot move on from the Katie Couric interview, acting as if one sub-par performance forever defines Palin and makes her somehow politically inept or electoral poison.

Look I am a Palinista, and I don’t support McCain and never did. But McCain did bring Palin out of the wilderness and give her a platform in which she has benefitted greatly from. Some people call it loyalty; I call it payback. Six of one, half a dozen of another. Either way, my support for Palin remains undiminished. I know who she is and what she believes. An endorsement of somebody I do not support will not change that.

Having said that if Palin ever came out herself for cap-and-trade or amnesty for illegals, that might change my mind, but nothing McCain does or says will change my mind about Palin. You have to separate the politician and her beliefs from who she endorses and the beliefs of that person she endorses.

I’d go with the flip-flopping technocrat Romney over McCain in a minute, and McCain over Obama in a microsecond.

Honestly, does it really matter whether John McCain is in the Senate or J.D. Hayworth? I don’t think so.

Thanks for this post. Gives folks a positive feeling instead of sitting around talking negatively about things that didn’t go our way.
Remember how the Demoncrats cried forever after the 2000 election? I don’t want to see us doing that.

Let’s move onward and upward toward making some positive changes in DC.
No more negative remarks about people who are trying to lift us up!

Watch for the leftards to get their panties in a wad, complaining that the markers on that map look too much like crosshairs in a rifle scope.

What part of loyalty don’t you understand?

I HOPE for SOMEONE to come along just ONCE who feels a greater LOYALTY to timeless principles of conservatism than they do to fellow politicians!!! THAT is the loyalty I want!

You expect her to go out and actively support JD Hayworth?

If his beliefs and principles more closely match her own, then ABSOLUTELY YES!

She is in this position of making a difference thanks to john McCain.

Yes, and she more than repaid that debt by being his running mate, raising millions of $$ for him and campaigning for him in the general election.

He has done NOTHING positive for her since that time. She owes him NOTHING further at this point, IMO.

I will vote for Hayworth in the primary but for the R in the general.

Agreed. I would do the same, were I a resident of Arizona.

We MUST get rid of as many D’s as possible in order to take back the senat and the house and change the leadership in those two houses.

Absolutely.

I think that it’s great that her plan is to name and shame. Here is why:
1. Once you define your goal, when you achieve it, you get bragging rights.
2. It shows what many of us have long known about her - she’s an empiricist with instincts, a strategist. There’s no Ivy league education that can compare with that.
3. She’s quick and linear.

If she only manages to oust half those on her list, she already comes out ahead. These are the times that try men’s souls. She understands that the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. Starting with a list seems, to me, an optimal way to go.

So the new Romney supporters strategy is to hijack every Palin thread and stop discussion of her.

Quit trying to hijack every Palin thread you Bob J troll.

"To: Bob J
I love Palin’s conservatism and patriotism! She may very well support McCain out of loyalty and I have no problem with that. And I have no problem with whom she supports with her PAC. There is nothing written that says she has to do everything (or anything at all) according to JIM.

Sarah is unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-family, pro-America, pro-constitution, pro-gun, pro-limited government and so am I. And she’s wildly popular among the God-loving, Liberty-loving folks with whom I choose to associate. In short, she’s a refreshing breath of clean fresh air in an otherwise putrid failure of a RINO infested party.

She represents my interests better than any other viable wannabe at this point and if she decides to run, she will have my undivided support!!

Romney, the draft-dodging, Big Government, lying statist political whore can KMA!!

And your picture does say a 1,000 words, but Bob, unfortunately they’re all about YOU and political whores like you and the results and likely outcome of your slavish, cultish RINOism!!

So you can shove your picture and your RINOs where the sun don’t shine.

Sarah has more guts, talent, ability, patriotism, and sheer determination and love for America and our God-given Liberty than you and Romney and a thousand other RINOS will ever have!

It’s been more than obvious for several years that our pro-Life & Liberty Free Republic has become an embarrassment for you, so why the hell don’t you just take a fricken hike already!!

Shove it, pal.

GET THE HELL OFF FR if you don’t like it, but whatever you do quit your damn whining and pestering good conservative FReepers about your hatred for Sarah Palin!! It’s beyond sickening.

Did you read what I wrote?

It causes me to question her sincerity.

It causes me to question how serious she is about being against "business as usual" in Washington.

No, I'm not throwing her out, but this support makes me seriously and honestly ask "WHY!?"

Her support of McCain weakens, but does not eliminate, my support and enthusiasm for Sarah Palin.

Seriously?

Ever hear of "McCain-Feingold"?

So glad we agree on so many points.
Sooooooooo, let’s look forward and defeat as many Demoncrats as possible.
John McCain will either adjust to our requirements or he will fade away into a nice retirement.
I have been calling and emailing him for over 10 years over one thing or another.
It is time for him to retire but not to be replaced by a demoncrat who will have a vote for majority leader. IMHO, that is what is the most important now.

I think most of us here have posed the same questions to TChris. At this time, I think it’s just something that he needs to talk about. If it were about a personal struggle with conscience, he would be doing it privately. That he needs to engage us all in his philosophical dilemma is proof that he just needs something that I cannot identify.

It is likely that he has a spine of steel and a rhetorical gift and personal charm that would enable him to navigate the minefield that Palin is in (vis-a-vis her former candidacy w/McCain) with more skill and deflect all criticism that she was for him just because she wanted to get to the WH. Good for him. We’ll score TChris higher than Palin then and support his candidacy for anything at any time.

Dear Sarah:

Please add to your mid-term hit list Senor John McPain for his past support for McCain-Feingold and open-borders amnesty.

Let’s have a comprehensive clean-up while we’re about this task.

No, I didn't ignore it. I missed it amongst the rest of the pings. (I'm getting a few, as you have probably noticed.) :-)

No, I don't think there is a better candidate than Sarah at this point.

The Left (including the MSM) absolutely despises her, which both endears her to conservatives and suggests that she will be difficult to elect.

As I have written above, her support for McCain causes me to question her and it dampens, but does not eliminate, my enthusiasm for her.

She went up against the good ol' boys' club of her own party in AK to great effect. Loyalty did not stop her. I'm not sure why she seems to be doing the opposite now.
