I would say that economics is something they don’t BELIEVE more than that they don’t understand. You have to understand it in terms of revolutionary culture, structural feminism, and the like.
There is plenty of work, but not much pay these days. Except for the "showing up" jobs, which DO exist, but they're mostly in DC.

Obama has done things for them..free health care, extended unemployment benefits, killed off welfare reform etc. They don’t need jobs anymore..especially jobs that pay taxes..that would hurt.
Well, who we gonna declare war on, Israel? Europe? We’re in bed with all the villains now.
With amnesty it will get worse. When the Mexicans really compete for better jobs, the employed blacks will be pushed downward and possibly out.

I'm sure you're correct, but it's about the same as standing in the middle of a highway and declaring you don't believe in trucks and cars.
You know what else I’ve noticed? I live in Houston, where there are lots and lots of blacks, mexicans, and asians. But who do you see on the street corner begging? It’s always black or white. You NEVER see hispanics begging, and you NEVER see asians begging. I’ve wondered about that.
I would like to point out however that it isn’t so much a race thing as a culture thing.
If you latch on to a cluture that prizes self-destructive behaviour and looks down on success achieved through education and hard work, then you will end up as a failure, regardless of your skin color.
Now, why such large percentages of minorities so willingly embrace the “culture of failure” is beyond me. I do think that folks like the Rev. Jackson and Sharpton have a vested monitary interest in keeping folks poor and desperate.
I know, let’s legalize 12-20 million illegals. That will help the black community with its job problems.
This all makes it a lot easier to understand why the 1930s depression dragged on, and on, and on.
Sorry, but I have to call BS on that. Any healthy male can make $200+ a day cutting firewood with little more than an old pick-up truck and a chainsaw. And that is in Michigan with the highest Unemployment in the nation.
I have been suprised that the black “leaders” are not up in arms over the illegals.
The laborers union in Vegas was run by blacks for many years. But the culinary union was the biggest employee of blacks. Lots of people had good steady jobs.
The illegals now own certain jobs that were the domain of blacks untill the feds encouraged the most massive immigration in history.
If they got half as upset over the illegals as they do about racism they would have employment
Oh, I don’t believe that. People that predict high unemployment for decades and stagnant growth are just extrapolating current trends, and I don’t think you can do that in this area. We could reverse this thing overnight if we could get the communists out of there.
