The company that sells Soyuz rides to the ISS for about 20 million a pop is also selling a trans-lunar (free return) ride for 100 million.

I wish some billionaire (actually I think they need to sell two seats) would bite at this. A trans-lunar human flight now would be a breath of fresh air and would really spotlight the error of our parochial president regarding U.S. manned space travel.

(Of course the fact that the Soviets/Russians have so far only sent some turtles or mice around the moon (way back in Zond) might not inspire much confidence in a prospective billionaire space tourist.)

yep

but the whole area - St Johns, Cocoa Beach - they're all going to hurt - for a very long time - if Congress doesn't take back it's appointed power and stop this...

the president does not have the legal authority to do this. Authority over the Space Program in legally in the hands of Congress.

I would think Congress would be sick to death of this man usurping their power.
