Someone needs to tell Graham to crap or get off the pot, switch parties like Specter or man up and start acting like a Republican.

I would love to see the e-mails and hear the phone calls between McCain and Graham.

Why not start a recall of Graham?
He is a Rat not a RINO. He is their 60 vote.
McLame needs to be removed, does AZ have what it takes? They tried to recall him before Sep. 11 2001 happened.

One might suspect McCain...but he will be quiet till after the Nov election...since piping up right now would give Hayward ammo to blast him.
Not sure who else might be willing to join...
Inhofe might have some ideas though....but he will be leading the opposition.

We must start addressing US mail letters to our Senators and US Representatives as to the follies behind this movements to further destroy our industrial base and by association our whole system based on the false premises of AGW. We cannot depend on the hard work people like Senator Inhofe has championed for so long. Those that understand so be it, those that are not sure... get educated and then follow suit.

This will devastate manufacturers and the trucking industry. Pretty soon there wont be any jobs left in this country. And the oil industry. Presently Federal Leases are on hold in the Williston Basin (The Bakken/Three Forks) while the EPA 'evaluates the greenhouse gas contribution made by the oil industry'. No good will come of this, especially as it implies that AGW is a given in their minds. Expect more taxes, and much higher fuel costs.
The region is one where unemployment is around 4-5%, and housing is harder to find than a job. I know of two businesses which have closed their doors because they could not find competent help and out of state license plates are pretty common, some from 1500 miles away.
It is the last major bastion of economic success in the country not directly tied to government funding, and the supplies, materials, etc. being trucked in are keeping other areas from feeling the full brunt of the economic downturn as well.
Of course, the Obamites want to shut it down like they have everything else.

If the company passes on the tax to the consumer does that constitute a tax increase to consumers? I'm sure Obama will claim it doesn't. You know the oil companies will be blamed. We've seen that meme before.

Here’s my “compromise” we use the copies of the bill already produced as door stops and stop there.

Kerry, collaborating with Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and independent Senator Joseph Lieberman, might introduce a new bill promoting clean energy early next week, just days before the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, environmental sources said.Miss Lindsey Grahamnesty: Worst. Republican. South Carolina. Senator. Ever.

Compromise built on a lie.

I love how “compromise” means the Dems settle for less Marxism than they really wanted in return for getting the Pubbies votes for the reduced amount of Marxism in the bill. Real compromise would mean both sides get something they didn’t have at the beginning. Or better yet, we agree to less reform and dismantlement of government intrusions on OUR freedom, in exchange for the Marxists voting to allow some dismantlement. See, compromise!
