Brown is in a no win situation. Palin's unfavorability(sp?) numbers are very low around here(sadly) and Brown has to walk a fine line to win reelection in '12. I do think he should go but I understand why he's not.

Maybe his son has a little league game that day or maybe he has a job he has to go to?

I think folks need to be careful how to interpret things of this sort... SB may not be fully aligned with TeaParty sentiments and that’s OK. Just know that what he is facing up there is a little like walking on egg shells... I mean c’mon, a Repub winning the Kennedy seat. He may be more like RINO than Conservative, but his election has broken the Kennedy/ Progressive monopoly hold up there. Lighten up and enjoy the Party and leave SB to strategies as he sees fit.

At time like this, it doesn’t hurt to return to a basic question: would we rather have Scott Brown or someone who’d vote like Ted Kennedy? But, also, I’ve never been too impressed with Sabato’s commentary. Maybe we’ll have to Brown and the voters of Massachusetts sort this out. And Brown’s alliance with Romney is probably also a reason he might not want to appear with a potential Romney rival for the 2012 nomination.

Brown can be taken out in 2012 just like he was elected...

HE'S FROM MASSACHUSETTS! It is not realistic to expect him to be the second coming of Ronald Reagan. There is nothing in his contract that dictates he must appear with Sarah Palin or any other loud voice. If Brown helps his own party in Congress, and works even a little to restore one tiny little conservative principle, then he is a far, far better person to have in the Senate than Kennedy or any other Democrat.

At this time, we should be pleased with small gains as well as large ones.

Brown can do what he wants. He just needs to be accountable to his voters.
His election advanced the overall conservative cause. I would not support someone with his views in my area.

He campaigned on conservative principals, and won in his area.

He wasn’t really with the tea party even during his election.

This was a two fer using Dem activists Larry Sabato and Lou DiNatale to help spin a narrative against both Palin (she who must be destroyed at all costs) and Brown.

Brown was in Afghanistan meeting with Karzai on the 9th. They may still be in the region or just have returned. I’d say he’s busy and the article was puffery designed to divide.

"Brown has to walk a fine line to win reelection in '12"

Hmmm...What pct of his votes were from demoncrats and what pct from grass roots GOP?

Not sure that the "fine line" has the slightest possibility of getting him reelected. IAC, it has been fairly obvious since about the 2nd or 3rd week of his tenure that he was a leftist RINO at best...or a skilfully placed sleeper-cell demoncrat infiltrator at worst.
