I’ve watched this before, and it was blurry then too. Must be something wrong with the original. I have yet to see it all the way through. It always goes fluky.

To all that replied to my post thanks. I should not have posted that, I'm not looking for sympathy. I feel like I could write a book about all the things that happened to me while in the military if I were more well versed.

I've seen some of these before, and they still make me weep.

God bless and protect our warriors and their families, and bring them home safely!

Don’t apologize. Anyone who has been around the military has seen that kind of stuff. It seems to happen more often because of long separations as compared to the civilian world.

When I was on the USS JFK pulling out of port to deploy to the Med, as the ship pulled away from the dock, a guy jumped overboard. Apparently his wife was taunting him with public displays of affection, knowing he would be gone for a long time and unable to do anything about it.

Many civilians simply don’t understand the difficult of military life APART from the obvious danger of being killed or injured in operations. They have no conception.

So, don’t apologize. I didn’t get the impression you were looking for sympathy.

it is fine with me you spoke of it. it is a reminder to all of us that just because a soldier who has fought for my freedom comes home.....that there can still be hell at home to face, hell from things that very well may have been thru no fault of his own. take care, stay as ‘TUFF’ as you seem to be on the inside soldier. thanks again for your service to our country. bobby.

Didn't get that impression at all. Sometimes you just have to air it out is all. It's part of moving on.

"Get a tissue handy first."

Well, I didn't cry...not for the first 30 seconds anyway. ;-)

Beautiful video, FormerACLUmember.

God bless them.

Oh man! Now that had to be about the toughest thing a soldier could face! You must have felt massive confusion as if hit by a stun gun...so very sorry...good you moved beyond it but geesh! Doesn’t get much worse than that...and hope the next woman you’re with has a huge heart of love for you...you deserve it.

That is so sweet. I have seen a lot of these on YouTube, and they made me cry the first time I saw them. This time, it brought a smile to my face to see the families reunited, if only for a brief time.

Got to the priceless look of love and surprise on the first little girl’s face and broke into a full scale sob out loud sitting here with tears running down my face through the entire thing.
You know. You wish to see this on the faces of every loved one but there are those little girls and boys and yes, even doggies, who will never have the chance. And you cry. And pray. And rant.
