I know the feeling. The hours and hours of boredom interspersed with moments of pure panic. The tedious tasks, monotonous 'standby to standby' coupled with incidents that nobody would believe. The humor, the camaraderie, the friendships that were formed under high pressure situations that have/will last for a lifetime. Buddies that became closer than any brother or sister. The ones you held on to as they cried their eyes out, yet you never told anyone else because you knew at some time you'd need their shoulder to cry on. MRE bombs, taping a gas mask, diving into a bomb shelter during a rocket attack and knocking your CO out cold. Yep, there are some things I'd like to write about but I think I'll just keep the memories.
