While that is no doubt true, it’s worth noting that among the list of speakers at this event is Cynthia McKinney. She was a Congresscritter for twelve years, which means there’s a Congressional District’s worth of people quite nearby who voted this nutcase into Congress repeatedly, quite recently.

While I don’t think there are many ready to take up arms, there are a lot of serious idiots out there who buy into the general “hate Whitey, they’re the source of all your problems” message.

BTW, this event is local to me, and I do *NOT* volunteer to go down and attempt to infiltrate and video/audio tape the proceedings!

That is a given. Enyone with any intelligence knew that on the night of November 4, 2008 that except for the Tea Partiers which had not been organized yet. But as far as gun owners, Conservatives, Christians, and White males they should have been able to have seen it coming.

But the question is, what are the tea partiers and gun owners going to do? And if the past is any indication of the future, nothing.

What is past is prologue. And the Finns have set a good example for us.

In their case, they had the problem well dealt with in just four months. But we have more rats in our henhouse, so it may take us a while longer.

That’s quite amazing. Not many tuned and scoped sniper rifles will do that. If you can shoot open sights that well why use a scope?

That’s why I only have 1 scoped rifle. I figure if our predecessors could use these rifles at long range, why can’t I?

And 300 yds. isn’t that far. Clamped to a bench rest, the rifle doesn’t move much, and the spotting scope helps to adjust windage and elevation. I didn’t mean to infer that I could just sit down and bang out ten rounds in 1” groups. It definitely takes some tweaking.
