When another FReeper explained the context of her speech and saw it as a tale of "redemption" I responded positively because things are too quickly decontextualized. Being victims of that, we should not practice it on others.
However, I am now totally disappointed. Just another lib who wants to shut down everyone who disagrees with her.
Before it's over the only privacy and freedom we'll have left is the "right" to engage in "gay" sex.

Sherrod is an idiot. All Breightbart did was call attention to the video of her NAACP speech. President Obama panicked and in fear of Glenn Beck (according to Shirley) forced the USDA to fire her. She claims the White House forced her to pull off the road and resign!
If she’s going to sue someone, it should be her idiot employer. Obama should be shut down!!
Her father was murdered by the Klan? Shirley initially said he was killed by a white farmer ... and at one point, that it was in the midst of a dispute of the ownership of some cows. Doesn’t sound like the Klan to me.
I agree, I just don’t know about Ann sometimes. She’s changed in the past couple of years. Maybe she’s dating a liberal or something. I used to look forward to seeing her on, now I dread it because I never know what she’s going to say. I like Laura Ingrahm better now.

I fail to see how “taking him to one of his own” indicates that Shirley Sherrod, married to the notorious black racist Charles Sherrod (look him up), was either transcending race or doing her job.
She had a great case against her employer. But she won't keep her big mouth shut - she's probably blown that suit.

Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats.
