Sorry Mr. K,
20 year retirement is not “Full Pay” full pay is after 30 years. I retired after 23 years, fractures both legs, Parachute duty will do that to you.
After 2 wars, (Korea and Viet Nam, I don’t think that I am a free loader at the National Teat, yes, it was my choice, I guess I could have chosen a political career or, God forbid, a community organizer, instead I chose a life of Military Service .
The first broken promise was “Free Medical care, to include my family. All Gone, welcome to Medicare and Co Pay, Tri Care for Life is a poor substitute., Two broken marriages, too much separation time for the wife..... I could go on but if the nation gives up on it’s military, there will be nothing standing between you and the dark world outside our borders..be careful what you hope for, you may get your wish’
