From a purely analytical perspective, Palin and Romney both suffer from political liabilities that are difficult to overcome. Perhaps in his case this is something to celebrate. Palin has other hurdles to overcome. For example, her negatives among female voters and independents who often tend to absorb their politics via SNL.

But you’re saying that they’re only doing this because they’re mad?

They’re spending valuable tv time that could be spent on, I dunno, DioGuardi, and his famous daughter, and compare Scott Brown and Ayla Brown. All sorts of stories there.

Why are they continuing to attack Christine? I don’t know the answer but it could be a number of things. Christine is looking BIG. The neocons are out to get her. The neocon mags, krauthammer, all really upset, really early. The RINOs nationally, not so much. The Delaware GOP, Castle,
the NRSC, yes, but no pundits really, and very few politicians except Christie. Mostly neocons.

There is something in Christine’s record that really bugs the neocons. Maybe The Passion has something to do with it.

They're not mad, they're scared. Scared to lose their power and influence and priviledge. If the Tea Party can reach into a blue state and primary a long-standing establishment pubbie, none of the beltway pubbies are now safe.

Rove doesn't have to run for office, so he's blasting O'Donnell, even as others such as Cornyn backpeddle.

At least Romney is backing her, unlike Rove.

What purpose does that serve? To show the tea party that they can screw over their candidates? Tea Party doesn’t fully care. It is of value to take out a RINO. It would be best to have Conservative win the General. Do they really prefer a Liberal Democrat to a Conservative Republican?

Christine is FIGHTING THE ESTABLISHMENT.

Read Palins bio. Prominent in August 2008 was fought the Alaska Establishment, probably still is.

Well, if everybody is saying nice things about you, you don’t have excellent proof that you are fighting the establishment. Rove is the establishment. Christine is fighting him.

It was clear to me back in May that Christine was an amazing talent. When she was at the RNC, she could’ve been identified by a excellent judge of political talent. Given a road map and sent her on her way. Remember, they knew her when she worked at the main office. I find a talent like Christine, I’m working with that talent for a long time. She wins - she’s the prolife spokesperson right away. She is the spokesperson for all socon /sex / gay issues. They knew she could get from where she was to where she is now.
That’s all conjecture.

What purpose does that serve?

No practical purpose as far as fighting the Obama/Dem agenda. And that's the entire problem.

Anyone hear from Huckabee?

I am sure Mike Huckabee will not be far behind. Yes, we understand that he is in Arkansas and he is in a different time zone.

The difference seems to average about two weeks…

Political posturing.

A Rush caller said her pledge line was crashing so you really can’t beat that. The fact that Romney is supporter
her is a plus for both of them.

Romney (coward, RomneyCARE, fascist, BIGdig, ....)
should never be in the same sentence as Gov. Palin.

A question for you: If Romney is the Republican nominee in 2012, will you support him?

No, and I think FRee Republic might go 3rd party at that point. You've read what JimRob has to say about Romney, right?

My prediction is that if the Republican Party nominates Romney in 2012, it will be the last major party nomination it will ever make and go the way of the Whigs.

I never said, anywhere, that I like Romney. FYI, I don’t like him.

On the other hand Gov. Pal-...Oops, I forgot. Her name cannot be mentioned in the same post as Mittens.

Romney apparently "backed" O'Donnell one day too late
for an attempt at plausible deniability. [not gonna work].

“Go Mitt. Go Mitt. Go Mitt.”

“Rove is pushing Romney so aggressively some folks are beginning to wonder what's going on,” grumbled one veteran Republican strategist.”

“Rove has made no secret of his support for Romney as McCain’s VP. ”
