Probably Black Muslims, fresh out of prison. I agree that they were likely Black Muslims (don't know if they were fresh out of prison). It's consistent with the demography of the neighborhood, the MO of the crime, and the crude antisemitic sentiments of the perps.
Muslims of Middle Eastern origin, if they wished to commit crimes against Jews, would likely be using lethal force and talking about Allah, not about Jews having money.
The New York Post was being "politically correct" in failing to give a racial description of the perps. I'm sure such a description was provided to the police by the victims.
