My Cuban friends do not want to be labelled as Latinos.
Yes, this is a little know fact. Many Cubans consider themselves Europeans. Cuba was a very mixed-race place but many of the early refugees to the United States after Castro's takeover were of pure Spanish descent and do not like to be classified as Latinos. It's a sensitive subject so I won't go further.
Also many Indians (from India) do not consider themselves Asian even though they are often classified as such. I know an Indian Engineer (from the very upper class of India) who considers himself a European. He even looks more European than Asian. This is also a sensitive subject so I won't go further.

Wow, couldn’t happen to a better guy, we had him every night on local channel 7 for years pesting the airways. He reminds me very much of Grayson from Orlando!!!I still live in Miami (Hometown) and I always thought Rick and CH 7 were a perfect match. They both have mentalities that say: If it BLEEDS, it LEADS when it came to the news. I remember his car accident where the cops wanted him to take a DUI breath test, but he'd already rushed home and washed his mouth out with mouthwash that had a high alcohol rating before he meekly turned up at the police station for his now tainted breathalyzer. Rick Sanchez is slime thru and thru.
