So a birther rally netted a couple of hundred folks. And that's according to Berg himself. The reality is probably closer to "a couple of dozen".

No “scholar” (real scholar, as opposed to some goofus claiming to be one) says any such thing. The Presidential and Vice-Presidential elections are independent, as per the Twelfth Amendment.

Since Oct 21, 2010
In having the President and Vice
President elected as a ticket, the Twelfth Amendment eliminated
this possibility, or at least minimized it by lessening
the Vice President's motivation for staging such a coup.
I suggest you find more competent scholars.
The Electors from each state are those who represent
the Party ticket winning the majority of the votes in each state.

Anyone who attends a rally hosted by a 9/11 truther is no conservative and deserves the scorn of anyone who posts on this site.

“Berg told WND that though the crowd, which he estimated at a couple of hundred, was smaller than anticipated,”
It’s also smaller than he claims. There’s video of the ‘rally’ on YouTube, and the crowd definitely does not exceed even one hundred. It looks to be only about 60-70, and that’s if you include various people standing around who may just be passersby on the Mall, and not actual Berg supporters.

Lots of people slow down to look at grisly car crashes, but that doesn't make them pro-crash.

Well, that proves my point. Each elector casts a vote for President and a legally independent vote for Vice President.

Nope -- exactly the opposite. Before the amendment, electors cast a single vote with the winner becoming President and the runner-up becoming Vice President. After the amendment, electors voted in two separate elections for President and Vice-President.
It's surprising to see this level of abject ignorance on a political discussion board.

And, YOU, Tea Roll since 10-21-10, came here to set FR straight. It was here long before you and, no doubt, long after you.
