Actually you may not be too far from the truth on the Hillary resigning thing.
There has been a lot of talk of Hillary putting up a primary challenge to Obama in 2012 — now the Wikileaks thing is squarly placed at the State Department. Force her resignation and it effectively takes her out of the 2012 picture.
Obama hates America anyway so the Wikileaks stuff that is ‘distressing’ the WH is actually playing right into Obama’s lap anyway.

If he resigns today, Biden can only be Pres__ent for 6 years. If he makes it effective 21 Jan. ;11, Biden can be Pres__ent for 10 years. Though, I see no way Biden makes it passed '12.
I think he will come out and announce that Clinton (take your pick) is responsible for the leaks.

What we’re most interested in Mr. President, is WHAT measures have been taken and when, to ensure that some freakin po’d Pfc in no way has access to this kind of information ever again.
Normally, I'd agree completely. I just think that, because of almost 10-years of war, that dog won't hunt anymore. This isn't the 1940s, where "we the people" wouldn't dare criticize a sitting President in the face of armed conflict. Vietnam, and later the WOT, have proven pretty conclusively, that "wartime President" isn't what it used to be.
Having said that, it doesn't mean Obama isn't stupid enough to try it. You very well may be right.
