Some years ago my parents vacationed there. Dad called Honolulu “Wal Mart with palm trees”. As a vet I might go stay at the Hale Koa hotel sometime but my only purpose will be to visit the Arizona memorial and Hickam Field.

I’ve heard stories about `pineapples’ badgering tourists on the beach, tour guides lecturing “you must respect our culture!”, etc. They don’t even like Asians.

So who do they think they are, Maoris?

Fukino was immediately fired because the new governor did not in any way want to be involved in what could eventually be a criminal matter.

Or, he can now put "one of their own " in who will alter or lose some existing records.

Have directors of vital records been fired with each new change in governors? Hm? Has anyone checked this?
If research proves that directors of vital records in Hawaii have NOT routinely been changed then I conclude the following:

Fukino was immediately fired because the new governor did not in any way want to be involved in what could eventually be a criminal matter.

Dr. Fukino was not Director of Records. That person is Dr. Alvin T. Onaka, Registrar of Vital Statistics. Dr. Fukino was Director of the Hawaii State Health Department, a Governor’s cabinet level position. Cabinet members go out with the Governor unless they are retained by the new Governor. Since Governor Lingle was a Republican and the new Governor is a Democrat, Fukino resigned her position and Abercrombie will appoint a Democrat to take her place.

Regardless of the idiotic focus of this story...They hold the new governor’s swearing in ceremony on DECEMBER 7TH?? Couldn’t they have changed that date there in Hawaii? I mean, that seems a bit disrespectful, considering the horrible and tragic events of the past that anniversary date holds for the U.S. Does it have to be held on that date?
Mmmmmm. Indeed!

Yes, funny that they should choose “December 7, 1941, a date which will live in infamy.”

Er, what’s the rush?

The WorldNetDaily article is wrong. Governor’s Inauguration Day in Hawai’i is December 6th, not December 7th.

Quitting, thinking she will avoid being prosecuted?

dittos. I know what a racket the “natives” have going for themselves. I won’t be visiting so they won’t be getting any of my money. Most of the natives that Dog the Bounty Hunter corrals have the IQ of a coconut Either they were born like than or the meth hollowed out their brains.

Hawaii isn’t like the travelogues they show. The water isn’t that nice. It’s like Berkley, only on an island. The beaches aren’t nice. The Caribbean beats Hawaii by a mile. The only thing good about Hawaii is their Kona coffee and you can order that online, no trip needed. Even a lot of the people that own the coffee plantations are like old hippies, greenies, weirdos. We visited a few of them and only one was a normal couple. The rest, Birkenstock wearing old hippies.

And with Governor Yellowteeth now in office, I’m even less likely to go and will just have to watch reruns of “Blue Hawaii”, “From Here to Eternity”, and “Tora! Tora! Tora!”.

BTW, is Hawaii the only state where the national colors were removed from in front of the state assembly building?

Hawaii will have plenty of folks who will be willing to keep the cover-up going for B.O.

Hawaii’s overwhelmingly Democratic Legislature is now the nation’s most one-sided, although Republicans managed to pick up one seat. With 88 percent of legislative seats held by Democrats, Hawaii passed Rhode Island as the nation’s most politically monolithic state, according to an Associated Press analysis of National Conference of State Legislatures’ figures. Democrats will control all but nine seats in Hawaii’s 76-member Legislature following Tuesday’s election.

Does the new Governor of Hawaii know Obama’s True Past?
AND WILL HE CONTINUE THE ALOHA STATE’S COVER FOR HIM?

by Miki Booth

Is Neil Abercrombie a socialist like Obama?

(Dec. 8, 2010) — Obama can do anything he wants because the CIA, Unions and Organized Crime have his back. Neil Abercrombie, socialist, dope-smoking ex-hippie and agitator was sworn in Monday as Hawaii’s governor, courtesy of Obama and the aforementioned thugs. It doesn’t hurt that the majority of Hawaii’s populace is composed of mindless democrat morons who vote as they are told. I saw this train wreck coming but was powerless to slow it down or stop it. When Abercrombie gave up his House seat to return to Hawaii to campaign for governor, I knew Obama would do whatever it took for Abercrombie to win.

“The WorldNetDaily article is wrong. Governor’s Inauguration Day in Hawai’i is December 6th, not December 7th”

To be more exact - the Hawai’i constitution specifies the first Monday in December.

Don’t go by my opinion. You might like it. I just prefer the Caribbean area. Now Tahiti was beautiful but I wouldn’t want to live there. Hawaii, just not for me, not impressed. I know others that didn’t like it and I know some that love it and go there every year. To each his own. :)

Clearly you don’t like to Scuba dive. I do, Hawaii sucks.

Where I live I don’t have to go to the Caribbean. The Caribbean has come to me. I have mangoes and other tropical fruits growing. Nothing like a real ripe mango which is what you can get in the Caribbean. The mangoes shipped to US cities are only 25% as good. Most are mass produced in Baja Mexico (hard to believe eh?)

If scuba diving is your yardstick, that MAY be true - I can't rebut that, since I don't scuba dive.

However, since you only mentioned beaches and tourist crap up to now, I naturally assumed that these were the yardstick you were using. There are many, many excellent beaches on most of the islands, most of which are not in the "brochures". Once you stray off the beaten path, I don't think the Hawaiian Islands have much to apologize for.
