No, this dynamic changes the entire script. Ponder this: at school after gym class, or football practice, or after your shift at the plant, while in the shower how many times did you actually stand there washing your hair wondering if 'Charlie' was gay?
Now, after 'Charlie' lets it be known that he's gay you're going to wait until he leaves the shower before you enter, or you might skip the shower entirely.
In other words, the new scenario changes how you react. You're doing things you wouldn't normally or habitually do.
Now I'm no military expert but this might prove to be dangerous in a combat situation.

One problem: WHAT hetero male is voluntarilly going to join a cadre of flaming gays? Don’t think that could happen? Watch the Gay Pride parade in San Fran! I would assume that heterosexuality would be an AUTOMATIC disqualification for the Armed Forces, within 5-6 years, tops.

And they probably already have. They are going to turn military barracks into “gay” bath houses.
It was the Clintons who first decided to use the military for social experimentation. I understand that one of their pet projects was to create all-gay army units. Hence, going from the Green Berets to the Pink Berets.
