#1 or #2 administration.

The problem is much bigger. The reality that our populace is so prone to propaganda distributed from anywhere at any time can only lead me to conclude that 2/3 of our country is brain dead(can I say that?!), unable to place anything into context without being told what it should be.

A mean spirited ideocracy IMHO

Most people see through stuff like this nowadays. Palin’s speech was intended to address charges that had been made against her. She did a good job and wasn’t devisive.

Thus their need to destroy her.

Of course they need to destroy her. She is the "Scapegoat" for their sins. They project all of their sins and hatred on her and they have to destroy her so they will not be under condemnation.

It's the classic "Good Cop, - Bad Cop" routine.

It's understood that Obama will play the proverbial, "Good Cop", with calls for civility and such.

The MSM thoroughly understand their role as the "Bad Cop", by playing hardball...

Pray for Sarah. She may the last hope for America, and I’m not optimistic that America will last until 2012. We are on a speeding train at the edge of the abyss.

Obama is as responsible as any other individual is.

The Left are in full projection mode- accusing conservatives of vitriolic bomb-throwing that they, themselves have been perfecting since the 60's.

Sadly, the new 'extremists' are those who might have served in the military, believe in God, and cherish the constitution. But a warning is warranted: These people play for keeps and will hurt their opposition any way they can.

If anyone has put a cross-hair on somebody, it's the left targeting Sarah Palin.

Fortunately, Sarah's no fool, she'll take precautions. What most people don't realize is that Lefties are pussies and when you go after them, they run. I've done it, trust me. Conservatives need to ROAR back in a way that will cause them to tuck-tail and run like the little sissies they are. Unprincipled, ungrounded, and scared sheepless- that's the Left when you have their number.

Bush #2. He never lifted a finger to defend himself from the most scurrilous charges. And it cost him...dearly.

1/3, for sure. But the 1/3 in the middle -- the so-called "moderates" -- woke up over the past two years and realized what they had done by electing a socialist.

Otherwise, how do you explain the GOP landslide in 2010? Which also serves as clear evidence that the propaganda isn't working like it used to. And it probably never will again...

2 Corinthians 6:14-15 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:

This post is so accurate, thanks for posting it. I wonder if any biblical passages deal with confrontations with evil, where it (evil) has demonstrated a knack for winning (Mao, Stalin, Hitler, etc.) and that the battle ought not be taken lightly?

Should we be paying more attention to the smears and murderous affiliations they've assigned to Sarah that are not founded in anything? Are they amassing an army to defeat America with friends like Venezuela, Iran, Russia, etc. while eroding our relationship with allies like Britain and Israel?

I used to have more confidence in this country's ability to survive attacks from the Left, but with this Fraud in the White House, I'm not so sure. Since they seem to be on the attack and have a leader installed and in place, would we not be best advised to begin aligning ourselves around a true patriot such as Sarah and begin to ready ourselves for whatever they have planned next?

History and the Bible are two of my weakest subjects so I tend to focus my time on what's happening now. As a scout, I don't like what I see on the horizon.

...would we not be best advised to begin aligning ourselves around a true patriot such as Sarah and begin to ready ourselves for whatever they have planned next? ...

I admire Mrs. Palin, and I'd be happy to vote for her if she runs.
And who knows, maybe the Good Lord will raise her up as HE did the Judge/Prophetess Deborah, or as HE did Queen Esther ('who knows whether she has come to the American for such a time as this?')
-- BUT, that being said - remember that we don't put our trust in man but in God.
That is the message of the Bible throughout the Book - Put your trust in the Lord and rest in Him. Trust in HIM. That requires you to know HIM and to Believe in HIM - thus, I encourage you to read the Bible. You may not know much of it now -- but we all start on the same plane - not knowing much of anything. Whether you are young, or whether you are old, its always a good time to start reading (or listening via mp3/CD/etc) God's Word. You might have been taught that the Bible is a collection of myths and parables, which displays various aspects of wisdom - analogous to Aesop's Fables ... but that's not the case. Yes, it displays wisdom -- but it IS God's Word. Holy men of God spake as they were moved by God the Holy Spirit.

So -- knowing that, we should all want to read/hear what God says. Its not the easiest read. Some statements are plain, and some are confusing -- but every time you go through it (from cover to cover), you'll find something new, and discover a Book written over a 1500 year time span with over 45 authors - with one seamless message:
Fallen Man (by sin came disease and death), Man hiding from God, God seeking Man, and God rescuing Man and providing Salvation through the Finished work of God the Son - our LORD Jesus Christ.

Read (or listen) to the Bible one hour a day and you'll be through it in 3 months. Do this for a year and you'll be through it 4 times in the year. Keep doing this year after year.

But I digress, with respect to your question of Biblical passages dealing with confrontations with evil - yes, there are many examples. But ultimately the answer is to trust in the LORD. Believe HIM, know that HE has everything under control. The Confrontation with evil was at the beginning. Genesis chapter 3 shows Satan (through the serpent) confronting our first parents, Adam and Eve, and beguiling them and defeating them by causing them to doubt God. But God comes to the rescue, and even though HE must spread the 'curse' across the universe to balance man's sin - HE promises the coming Saviour who would crush the head of the serpent. HE even demonstrates how salvation would come when HE removes 'man's works' (Adam and Eve's covering of fig leaves) and replaced it with the skins (by the shedding of blood, and by the work of God: Pure Grace of God by the sacrifice of God).
Then there is the confrontation of Cain vs. Able; Noah vs. the world; Lot vs. Sodom and Gomorrah; Isaac vs. Ishmael; Jacob vs. Esau; Moses vs. the Egyptians; the Book of Judges (Hebrews vs. the Caananites); etc.
But the message for the victors were all the same: Trust in the LORD.
And even if it looks like 'evil' is going to gain a temporary victory - that also is 'ok' - we know God has a greater purpose, and everything is to HIS Glory. You'll find in the third chapter of the Book of Daniel a wonderful story of three young men (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) who thought they were going to their death in the fire because they refused to worship a false idol. They trusted in the LORD and they responded well:

Daniel 3:16-18 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful [we have no need] to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

They knew that God could deliver them from this seemingly sure death... And if HE didn't, well that was OK also - God is in charge, and they trusted Him.

So don't worry about Venezuela, Iran, Russia, etc... If we are a people who trust and honor God - we are fine.
And if we are a people who don't put in our trust in the LORD - we will be destroyed (Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God).
And if you live in a nation that doesn't honor God -- at least you can, and you can encourage your family and friends to do the same.
