I’d rather have some geek in a seat than losing grunts on the battlefield giving these turdburglers hell at every turn !

IMO cyberwarfare is a valid tool against valid threats.

Stay safe !!!

In MY book, Bill Hemmer is a commie-lib snot who never passes up a chance to roll his eyes or make a snide remark whenever Sarah Palin’s name pops up in the news!

I’d say they share more than a locker. It goes deeper than that. Pun intended!

I have read about the Stuxnet worm a bit and from what I understand, they affect Siemens brand variable speed drives which control the speed the centrifuges are spinning. If I were them, I would either start over with a completely different brand of centrifuges or go to external control of the VFDs by putting an independent speed indicator and just sending the output signal to the VFD. Just a simple PID loop.

If indeed “we” pulled this off, and it seems like “we” did, it has to be considered a major success.

Iran is so screwed, they spent billions on creating these systems to refine uranium, I thought I heard there were 250,000 computers potentially affected. The chance of fixing a sophisticated infection like this by the Iranians is almost nil. They would need source code, top level talent and a good organization. Not sure they could pull this off.

...sharing a locker with Shemp Smith.

Odd. The only other "Shemp" I ever knew of was also a stooge.

your right but assumptions make an ass of you and me blah blah blah.

He-heh, yeah. There's always a risk involved in offering an assessment of things. I think our intel crew has got this one in hand, although, what with this "current administration" problem that cropped up a few years back, I'm less happy about that than I used to be.

Full stockpiles of strike-ready Soviet ICBMs notwithstanding; I was a WHOLE lot more relaxed when Reagan was in office.

Well, it was nice of the New York Times to confess for us then, wasn’t it?
