ROFL....If not for Palin there would have been no 2010 victory for the gOP. Before Palin left her job those “fine” conservatives you say were “doing their jobs” were holding pizza parties saying we must move beyond reagan and work with Obama.

Your hatred blinds you.

Palin has been fighting day in day out for Reaganism not some liberalRINO vision of the world.

You fail to admit that there has been none of those FINE conservatives leading the attack on Obama.

As far as the rest of your comment it sounds like huffington Post/leftist talking points and you call yourself a conservative? go vote for one of those RINO’s hiding under his desk that you seem to be in love with.

Here’s why the entire republican party should have stood up for her against the Tucson nonsense, because it’s not just about her, and if they don’t defend her against this kind of nonsense, then no republican can be safe of ever win in 2012: http://legalinsurrection.blogspot.com/2011/01/we-just-witnessed-medias-test-run-to-re.html

DeMint ain't running. Pence ain't running. And Cain is a 1%er and Barbour is a sleazy good ol' boy GOP lobbyist hack.

Are you really going to help re-elected 0bama, just because your particular political messiah didn't get the nomination?

Yep, the GOP and the country will deserve it because I sure as hell won't be voting for Barbour, Romney, Pawlenty, Daniels, or Huck.

When Cheney, Bush, the Newt et all begin to speak up for her then I might believe the party would back her.

I want a REAL conservative and right now Palin is just about the only one.

The people you mentioned above, plus the others in the Republican chattering class, will not support Palin even if she gets the Convention nod. They will give obvious luke-warm support and do everything possible to stab her in the back. They would rather see our Country die than have someone other than themselves in charge.

I believe Sarah is the real deal and would vote for her in a heartbeat. Having said that, she has an uphill battle to winning the nomination. Reagan was passionately hated by the left as well, but back then the fullness of the time had not come to fruition for the 40 and under electorate to be thoroughly endoctrinated by the public school system and leftist universities. The old media now has picked up where liberal professors left off and continues to promulgate the lies to these mush heads. I am a realist and, if Sarah doesn’t run and get the nomination, I hope to have another conservative option from which to choose.

You position seems to be that the Party should remain neutral. I have no problem with that, and you’re right, Sarah can take care of herself. What I find particularly hypocritical about the GOP establishment types and your position in general, is that they had no problem piling on after she did speak out for herself. If they were truly neutral, then they should have kept their mouths completely shut instead of stabbing her in the back once she made her statement.

If they would simple stop being jerks to everyone else, I'd imagine a lot of the strife would simply go away

*rolls eyes at the naivete of that post*

I don't think the nastiness began with the pro Palin folks. Pissant and a couple of others popularized the insult talking points, and a dozen others follow with nothing but derogatory postings. I'm not suggesting you're one of them, just saying what is pretty obvious to most on FR.

If she doesn't, she has no one to blame but herself, and the Party won't have a damn thing to do about it.

That's BS and you know it. The GOP has been doing everything it can to try and stop Sarah Palin and undermine her potential candidacy before she even declares.

If the GOP poo-bahs sabotage her before and during the primaries, then I refuse to reward the corrupt GOP with my vote. Period. And like I said, I am NOT alone.

I'm a conservative who is independent (not of any party) but have always voted republican. I like Palin and think she does great doing what's she's been doing for the cause since 2008. If she were the nominee I'd be behind her 100% because I do agree with her philosophies. At this point I do prefer somebody with those same philosophies who is more articulate but if she is the chosen one I can vote for her and not have to hold my nose as I did for McCain.

I knew McCain was not going to win because I was not excited about him being the nominee. I held my nose and because of that I knew that many republicans probably stayed home or lacked the excitement to sell their nominee to those undecided.

It's very rare that I would ever vote third party. If I do that it would probably be in very local elections. In 2012 a vote for a third party is a vote for Obama. There is nobody as far left as this President in the republican party. This man we have in the WH makes Sue Collins look more like a Ronald Reagan, It's a shame but that's where we're at. A vote for a 3rd party in 2012 (with the intentions of teaching your party a lesson or improving your party) will be putting party above America. Any republican who threatens to vote 3rd party in 2012 is downplaying just how bad of a President Obama is and how serious the situation remains for our nation.

Some people have not been paying much attention. Sarah sticks up for those idiot Pubbies when they are being attacked, she is realizing that you attack one you attack them all. They do not lift a voice to defend and support her with few exceptions like Rudy G.. They are afraid to say one good thing about her because she has the largest Conservative support.

Rove,Huckster,PrissyPerino,Gingrich,Frum,Etc,Etc They cannot handle the competition even to show common decency. She got more Democrats sticking up for her than those cowardly, competition minded, overly driven scuzzbuckets.

Bush's personal opinions, and even his energy on the campaign field, don't really matter for that.

Doesn't matter?

Those are similar reasons as to why we don't have a President Thompson now.

The only way for the Democrats to keep Obama in office is to split the Republicanss and encourage a third party campaign.

They can have a third party, but not us!

Oh, good. The third party nut cases gave us Bill Clinton when they voted for Ross The Nut Perot.

No we didn't...We warned you guys time and again that the choice was yours...Ross Perot or Bill Clinton...You stayed home and gave the win to Clinton...

Had Ross not run, we would have stayed home...We didn't forget; 'read my lips', 'new world order', 'nafta'...

Your mysterious (and entertaining) "ins" have no bearing on the operation of the Republican Party.

Heh...you actually believe that?
