I think this is a little overboard and overlooks the word "Might". If an actual conservative other than Palin wins the nomination, the primaries are somewhat clean (no unforgivable personal attacks), and even Sarah herself can endorse the eventual nominee and advocate for them as a true conservative, then I don't see the mass exodus. However, it seems like when people were answering this question, they assumed Palin not getting the nomination must have meant another RINO would get it, which in case would lead to another political disaster for the GOP. But for now, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt at this point to work it out. Even if Palin, DeMint, Thune, and whoever have to work it out beforehand to ensure the conservative vote doesn't split in the primary, so be it.

I don’t believe Sarah Palin would ever run as a 3rd party candidate unless the Republicans steal the nomination from Americans who want real reform and a constitutional government. She supported McCain in his re-election to the senate. That is not someone who is going to take her ball and go to a 3rd party.
That said, if she goes 3rd party rogue ... I’m going with her. And I don’t care if that means 4 more years of Obama. If she goes 3rd party that would mean the Republicans have nominated someone who is just like Obama and so it won’t make a difference which man is elected.
I want an All American, freedom loving, capitalist, patirot as our next president. Not a globalist. Not a one-worlder. Not a progressive. Not a lite-socialist. And don’t imagine that the Republican Party establishment has any intention of handing the nomination over to anyone the tea party would support.

The Republican party had better not take my vote for granted. I saw what they did to candidates such as Christine O’Donnell. They’ll get as good as they gave. I’m looking for results, not the same old “inside the beltway” elitism the rest of the candidates offer.

(to undo the damage the "intellectual elites" have done. . . . . Sarah Palin for President!)

The Republican Party is on probation right now. The party needs to decide what it’s core values are. Then they need to demonstrate that.

There are more conservative candidates than Palin.
Bachmann, DeMint, Cain.
If people go third party, I ain’t voting at all and wasting my time.
Get used to Obozo.

Nearly half of the Republican Primary voters who support Sarah Palin say they are at least somewhat likely to vote for a third-party candidate if she does not win the GOP presidential nominationand thereby guarantee the reelection of Obama.
I hope she doesn't run.

Might as well concede the 2012 election right now.
