Yup. Ice followed by lots of snow.
I’m not sure why folks think they need lots of milk, bread and eggs when they’re going to be snowbound for two to three days, but there seem to be enough people of that opinion that this happens in a lot of places in advance of snowstorms.
It’s really just an excuse to have French Toast. (bread, milk and eggs!)
Restrepo? Never heard of it...until now. I’ll check it out and let you know. Thanks! :-)
Heh heh heh
We have that in Florida before big hurricanes hit... then again it's kind of entertaining to have water to drink...
Everything outside is coated. We’ve got another 41 hours to go.
I have chickens, that lay eggs. Deer, lots and lots of deer, wild turkeys by the hundreds. Yea, I am a country boy.
I just checked my DirecTV and there are two showings on Wed. Feb. 2nd. The DVR is set.
Don’t you feel the impulse to blast Dave Murray?? lol
I’m about 65 miles sw of St. Louis and it was as if locusts swept through the area. Everyone was in a panic and I’ll tell you one thing...if this goes around us, I think a class action suit should be filed against the weather guys for mental anguish.
(It would have been nice to own a store yesterday)
Good no political slant documentary of combat in Korengal Valley.
Just finished it 2 minutes ago...

It would have been incredible to own a store yesterday! Black Sunday!
I read a review a minute ago... looks like a good one! :-)
Is St. Louis anything like Newark, NJ? Seriously; I’m not familiar with it. I believe a Pathmark the opened in Newark within the past few years was the first chain supermarket there in DECADES. “Shrinkage” was such a problem that you can’t operate a supermarket there; you’d need more security guards than cashiers, butchers, & bakers combined.
The supermarket was replaced by Kentucky Fried Chicken, bodegas, and interesting hybrid things called fried-chicken-and-pizza-joints (complete with bulletproff glass - all food is to go, and no deliveries); otherwise, you had to go out to the ‘burbs to shop.
The sun will be out Wednesday afternoon, they say. Hopefully, you’ll get gritty sleet, then snow.
A degree here or there in the different altitudes makes all the difference.
Windier now. Just a few flakes. Fixin’ to catch the 10 o’clock news.
WAY too much info to be putting out in a public forum.
Well, at least you didn’t reveal your weaponry and ammo reserves ...
Looks good. Looking forward to watching it.
Nothing on the radar...can you believe that?
But I have my wood stove and kerosene lamps...and with trips to the firehouse for water, I was able to stay home and not have to go to a motel.
I took baths in a galvanized tub in front of the wood stove - and it was ‘delicious’ with the warm air and the heat kept the water warm as well.
I'm hoping to get an all weather water pump to mound on my well head...my ‘little red pump’ can't take the winters. Money is tight - I'd like a generator - but I think if I had the pump for water, I'd be just fine with that and the wood stove an lamps. Takes me back to my childhood.
People ask me why I keep my land line, now that I have my cell. I ask them how long their cell will work without power to recharge.
I’m waiting for the garage to get warm enough to do that myself - hate rotating stock, but hate not having stock to rotate worse
