Sven, The Mombasa Moonbeam is very cleverly positioning himself to take credit for anything that happens in Egypt.

(1) They told Mubarak to take a hike.
(2) The man is no fool. He told them to take a hike.
(3)Now they are taking credit for getting him to leave in September, which he was going to do all along. The guy is 82!
(4)If Mubarak' team loses control and and he has to leave early, Obama will take credit for that because he has been shameless in pandering to both elBaradei, (aka The Iranian Stooge,) and the Muslim Brothrhood.

The MSM is already painting this as an Obama victory. Obama wants el Baradei and the Muslim Brotherhood in there in a power-sharing arrangement like the one he masterminded in Kenya for Odinga.

If Obama succeeds, the first thing you can do is kiss the Copts goodbye. They'll be massacred just like the Kenyan Christians were massacred by Odinga's people.

My money is on Mubarak. He's tough, and he is no jihadist. His military is tough, and hopefully has not been infiltrated. I think they will handle it their own way and Obama be damned.

The O'Reilly interview completes the triple play that is the opening of The Mombasa Moonbeam's 2012 re-election. The opener was the speech at the funeral, which except for its fundamental inappropriateness to the occasion was the best, IMHO, that he had given in over a year. The second was the SOTU, which while it was not well received by those few Americans who still can read and write on the same day, was wildly acclaimed by the usual supporters. The O'Reilly appearance will be the third.

The only thing O'Reilly is doing tonight is making sure his knee-pads are in good shape and that his lips are in pleasing condition for the multiple osculations he will apply assiduously to the nether regions of the Magic Marxist Mulatto. Softball? Nah. O'Reilly, a Democrat Party operative, will be pitching creampuffs and marshmallows.

So, is all of this working? Yes. despite what we all would like to believe, Obama is not really low in the polls. Never has been. In fact, he's bounced a wee bit since the funeral speech. Sorry, but it seems that somewhere around 45% of my fellow Americans think this man is their personal Messiah. Only about 30% of the electorate understands what is happening. That leaves a soggy middle of "independents," which means, IMHO, that they might occasionally harbor kind thoughts toward a Republican candidate. That goes double if they are still out of work in 2012 and they can be convinced that it's not George Bush's fault.

This Egyptian situation is actually working FOR Obama. His handlers have adroitly positioned him (and Hillary) to make any outcome look as if they controlled it. They have sort of jumped back on the Mubarak bandwagon ... but caution him (as if he were actually listening) that they will not condone violence.

Remember, we may see this clearly, but we are not the American electorate. Obama took a few jabs in the first round of the Egypt fight. But his noisy fans obviously think he's ahead in round 2.
