One very interesting thing about marriage in the Bible is that it was ordained by God immediately after the creation of Eve (end of Genesis 2).
In other words, marriage preceded the Gospel of the New Testament.
Marriage preceded the Ten Commandments.
Marriage preceded God’s promise to Abraham of the creation of Israel.
Marriage even preceded the fall of man (Genesis 3).
Given that the ordination of marriage preceded civilizations, nations and laws, it shows how important it was to God. Now you have these secular humanists who are viciously attacking marriage and all fronts. They are not just tugging on Superman’s cape but also pi$$ing and cr@pping on it as well.

Back in the early nineties an Easter Sunday service at Second Baptist Church (Houston, TX) was disrupted by sodomites. This was when Dr. Ed Young (pastor) was president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Since then a security group has been in the front row.
That wouldn't surprise me in the least. The state church will be the one of Notre Dame (the folks who gave Obama their honorary degree), the Catholic Healthcare Association (the group that supported abortion and Obamacare) and, alas, many of the bishops whose faith is more in the Democratic Party than in the Lord. I could probably name them all.
That said, there will always be surprises. Some people we think will defect to the state church won't do so and will wake up; others we thought would be rocks will melt immediately. And then there's the dreary statistic that when Henry VIII essentially founded his own state church, there was exactly ONE bishop who remained true to the Faith and to Rome.
There is a price to pay for allowing sin and even making sin legal (abortion, homosexuality) and this country is NOT immune to paying the price.

John Hagee* is immune to Scriptures and Dispensationalism's own basic teachings; he so easily forgets the Wheat and Tares Parable that describes God commanding the wicked and the righteous to grow together unmolested until that day of Harvest/Judgment. IOW, Hagee is jumping the gun and desperately wanting the U.S. to have a private showing of The Great Tribulation long before the event goes on to the world's stage.

Remember, when it comes to abortion, we can't hold a candle to the blow torch of China's abortion industry, neither can we match the savagery of the Muslim nations, nor the corruption of Mexico and Eastern Europe.
In the scales of good and evil, why does our good works never get any credit? Why, when the U.S. feeds, clothes, houses, medicates, educates and militarily protects the world that has absolutely no value when compared to something so small as the Folsom Street Fair? How does China, Saudi Arabia, the U.K. get off the hook and the only country founded on Biblical Principles gets special, isolated divine wrath?

I agree with your comments. But I will add that I hate no soul. But I do hate Evil, and what homosexuals do and say is Evil. So I hate what they do and say and believe. If we don’t hate Evil, then we partake of it.

Because it looks from here that you would be comfortable under his teaching on the U.S. Are you really ready to say that the US is more oppressive and corrupt than any take-your-pick M.E. nation? Are you really going to say that China is more God fearing than the U.S? Do you think God is pleased with the narco-nation Mexico and Central America has become?
What doctrine do you see where the Righteous are condemned with the Wicked? Is there some dividing line in your mind where God looks down at a nation and says 'OK', but then looks down at another and sends down Fire and Brimstone?

When you call upon God to assist you it makes sense to use HIS designated name - the name HE said is HIS.
How else is HE to know whom are you addressing.
Yahuweh is HIS name that HE specified in the unadulterated Scriptures before the forces of deceit and darkness manipulated HIS writings so many centuries ago and continue to do that deceit to this day.
