How do people afford cigarettes nowadays? That’s got to be like drug habit money...

Then throw in gas at almost $4. per gallon to go get the smokes....

Glad I gave up that crap....Even happier I don’t pay the government taxes on them anymore...

Hy is it that the same people who oppose any type of tax increase on tobacco have no problem supporting the total prohibition of cannabis?

Hypocrisy much?

(I know many on this board are consistent. This comment is directed to those who may not be.)

almost $10 per pack where I live- Gasoline is also the third highest in the nation- yet this state abounds with poor people- Yep- ole lance- just loves the poor I guess

Are you kidding? I quit over ten years ago when the went to someting like $2.50 a pack. When I started smoking in the mid 1960s they were 25¢ a pack.

If they made pot legal, the govt wouldn’t make any money out of it? People would just grow it in their back yard.

I don’t normally take pleasure in watching peoples misery...

But in this phony’s case I’ll make an exception.

He can film a PSA for a statewide Texas smoking ban from the Federal pen.

Phony drug cheater. Karma is a bitch.

Lance needs to ask his celebrity snob friends to fork over the money.

Stop taxing the cr@p out of Californians.

yup- something like 9.95 per pack here- I hear it’s even higher in the cities- My Bro inlaw thougbh works out west, and gets them for me for around $3.45 per pack- 3 cartons for around $110 as compared to almost $300 per month if I were to buy them here-

Being on fixed income, it was getting impossible to smoke here- but I’ve tried everything to quit- just don’;t have any willpower to do so though- it’s the worst habit I’ve ever picked up- but now that I’m hopelessly addicted, the states want to soak me for being addicted, but they give out free drugs to drug addicts? Maybe I’ll take up Heroine instead of smoking- it’ll be less expensive, and the government will pay for it

You said it- people are most liekly takign to crime to pay for the habit- thanks to the states seeing an easy group of people to victimize by exhtorting money from because they know We’re addicted to somethign that kills, and is bad for other people in enclosed areas- there isn’t much smokers can really say in that case- so the governments walk all over us by making it super expensicve- it’s like kicking a down and out drunk in the teeth knowing they aren’t goign to be able to get up and defend themselves- the govenrment gets a sick pleasure out of making us ‘evil smokers’ squirm

Maybe they should increase the taxes on bicycles, if Lance wants to fight cancer so much.
