Fox is in business for one reason only. Reach as many eyes in a specific target demographic to acquaint viewers with products and services offered by advertisers. Anything that furthers that mission is embraced. If it fails to achieve that aim, it's abandoned.
"We're not in the business of providing news and information. We're not in the business of providing well-researched music. We're simply in the business of selling our customers products."
That brutally honest statement from Lowry Mays founder of Clear Channel Communications (which owns Premiere, the syndicator of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity) aptly summarizes the purpose of broadcasting and cablecasting in a consumer-driven, free market system. It's been that way since the first commercial aired on radio in the 1920's.

You say everyone has been dropping and that includes Beck. So what I posted is true. Just that Beck has fallen the most.
All evidence points to a drop off of one-third of his audience. Last year at this time Beck was pulling in 3-million viewers. Last Thursday he was at 1.9-million.
I think the NYT is full of S&*T.

There were two duplicate threads posted in breaking news. If you look at the timestamp on this thread (3:26:34) your thread was posted 2 minutes after this one (3:28:49). I don’t know why the mods decided to leave yours in breaking news rather than this one. At any rate, it’s very confusing now as people are posting on both threads and I can’t keep up with it. One of these threads should be locked; makes no never mind to me which one. But this thread was posted first.
