All part of the big redistribution plan. Inflation and a collapsing dollar are inevitable outcomes Obamanomics. Those of us who lived frugal lives and attempted to save for retirement are rapidly headed for penury. Thus the “wealthy” are stripped of their savings as Obama redistributes the product of our hard work to the entitlement classes.

You need to step aside from the theft. Buy gold, silver, commodities with at least a portion of the $’s you have to preserve your accumulated wealth. You see it coming - do something about it.

That’s absolutely right; the dollar is also dropping against oil, food, etc.; the only place prices are falling is where there is no demand anyway: homes.
I am IN Mexico on vacation (Cancun). Feb 2009 - 1.6 Pesos to the dollar. November 2010 - 1.4 Pesos to the dollar. Today, 1.1 Pesos to the dollar (and falling). Your post insults Mexico who has a more stable currency than our own (in spite of drug wars in the border towns). Obama has a team of college professors who never worked in the private sector playing a financial strategy game with real consequences for US citizens.

Last year I used this as an indication to me that the recession was far from over, and a recovery hadn’t even started yet: I was getting too many wheat pennies and bicentennial quarters in my change. Now that they’ve turned up less often, I can only assume that those who could keep them have snapped them up out of circulation, while those who had to spend them are tapped out.

Canadian money is doing well (around par, sometimes better); that actually presents a problem for them, as they benefited from having a weak dollar versus the $US (for touriam & trade). Now Canadians will actually shop on our side of the border, since their sales tax is punitive.
