Unless and until the deaf Community recognizes

a) deafness is a handicap
b) whenever possible and feasible, deafness should be cured or abated
c) work to ensure the deaf Community mainstreams itself and doesn’t ask everyone else to bend to them
d) actively work to eradicate deafness in future generations by subsidizing potential scientific breakthroughs (they won’t and don’t)
e) stop demanding subsidies (the feds pay $60 a MINUTE for deaf-supported web translation services)

Months back, we went to Fry’s to buy a laptop. He “lit up” BEFORE the trip...”lit up” again in the parking lot before we went in the stire. Then “rolled it” the THIRD time within an hour once we got to his car.
