Hello fellow Ohioan. I’ve heard that the local farmers are a bit alarmed at the lack of grain and corn crop this year.
LOL I beat ya!
LOL! I remember that. The Bushies running around creating hurricanes. :>)
We should be safe here in Tulsa today. /MS
Palm Sunday in 65 was pretty bad, google it.

Interesting. Thanks.
It sure is . . .
I agree.
I think the addition + concentration of population just about offsets the benefits of radar + media warnings.
So the end result (number of injuries + fatalities) seems to be similar between now and the “old days”.
Agreed. I remember the 1974 outbreak when I was still living in Michigan. Xenia, Ohio was absolutely hammered. Some years before that, we had the Palm Sunday tornado outbreak. My family was out driving when the sky turned greenish black, and I remember how frightened we were as Dad parked the car under a highway overpass. It was the only thing resembling shelter for miles and miles. My Brownie troop took Easter baskets to children whose homes were damaged or destroyed by those tornadoes. My hometown (Kalamazoo) recently marked the 30 year anniversary of having a tornado rampage through the center of town. Having grown up in the midwest, I've always had a healthy respect for the weather. Some years are worse than others and people who don't experience it don't internalize it.
I can't believe you wouldn't want helpful messages from Baraq. Especially around election time......
at least around here (Indiana) you can already get the warnings sent to your phone from the private sector (ie tv and radio stations)
This pattern of severe weather is being caused by:
1. Internal combustion engine
2. Incandescent light bulb
3. Plastic water bottles
4. Bovine gas

I don’t think that anyone who has ever seen the “bruised” look of a tornado cloud can forget it. The green/yellow/purplish roiling overhead is terrifying.
“Yes...in the early to mid 70s I remember spending several April and May Days hovered around the 900 lbs sony tv with 4 stations.”
They don’t build them like they used to! :)
4 stations... Back then they had things called “families” and people used to spend time with them. Can you imagine??!
Thank goodness now we have texting! I mean, if you’re gonna have to have kids, at least you don’t have to talk with them!
4 stations! People were so backward then...
:)
“Pretty much a perfect day here today.”
Cripplecreek, are you posting from... Heaven???
If the economy collapses I’m coming to live with you!
I’ll bring the fishing gear. You bring the snacks. :)
That’s really lovely - takes me back. Which lake is that?
That’s the Norvell Mill pond on the Raisin River. (My back yard)
