Still working, or am supposed to be anyway. :)

Your boss asked me how to put a key logger on your puter and... I told him there were several unemployed key loggers here looking for work.

I just had a Diet Coke with a high school classmate who is passing through Benderville on his way home to FResno from a cross country trip. Man was he old!!!

Did I ever tell you about my 2nd GRandpa on my Dad’s side.. no wait, that’s my first grandpa on Dad’s side.

no matter, he was quite the whittler.. ran a saloon for awhile, quite a fishing&hunting guide, had an uncle too that worked the cascades logging as a young man.. and worked construction on the al-can highway.

Oh yeah..

Fans select white scheme for Harvick at Daytona

http://www.nascar.com/news/110607/kharvick-patriotic-paint-scheme-daytona/index.html

Budweiser and Kevin Harvick will celebrate Fourth of July this year with a special patriotic paint scheme selected by adult NASCAR fans. The paint scheme — white with red and blue stars and stripes — will be featured on the No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet during the July 2 race at Daytona International Speedway.

From April 30 to June 3, fans 21 years of age or older cast their vote on the Budweiser Facebook page for one of three patriotic paint schemes. After five weeks of voting, the white paint scheme edged out the red-and-white striped paint scheme by fewer than 700 votes.

“There are a lot of great dates on the NASCAR calendar, but perhaps none have a more celebratory feel than the Saturday night race at Daytona on Fourth of July weekend,” said Rob McCarthy, Budweiser vice president. “We wanted to give fans a chance to celebrate with us by choosing which patriotic paint scheme they’ll see on track. We’re excited about their choice and hope the team can put it in Victory Lane.”

In addition to the special paint scheme, Budweiser is featuring a limited-edition red, white and blue Patriotic Can from Memorial Day through the Fourth of July. Budweiser will donate a portion of all sales May 26-July 10 to Folds of Honor — an organization that provides post-secondary educational scholarships for families of U.S. military personnel killed or disabled while serving their country. In total, Budweiser is raising up to $2 million to support Folds of Honor this summer.

Farmers to sponsor Kahne, No. 5 with Hendrick
http://www.nascar.com/news/110607/kkahne-hendrick-2012-sponsor/index.html

June 07, 2011

CONCORD, N.C. — Beginning in 2012, Farmers Insurance will be the majority sponsor of the No. 5 Chevrolets fielded by Hendrick Motorsports and driven by 11-time Sprint Cup Series race winner Kasey Kahne.

Covering the 2012-2014 racing seasons, the agreement secures primary paint schemes for Farmers Insurance in 22 Cup Series events annually and prominent brand placement in all non-primary races. A new design will be unveiled at a later date.

“Kasey Kahne is a very talented driver and a class act,” said Paul Patsis, president of enterprise marketing for Farmers. “He will represent Farmers well, and we are all so proud to have him driving what will be a successful partnership, both on and off the race track.”

In April, Los Angeles-based Farmers joined Hendrick as a five-race primary sponsor of the No. 5 Chevrolets for 2011, debuting with a special paint scheme at the May 21 Sprint All-Star Race. Farmers also is an associate-level sponsor of the No. 5 team this season.

It’s amazing how things have changed. 40 yrs ago, car insurance companies would drop you like a lead balloon if you even mentioned the term “auto racing”.

Nowadays they are one of the leading sponsors.

Soddenlink gives you Versus? We can’t get that here, but Soddenlink DOES give us 9 channels of snow along with 3 that duplicate other channels. They also give us internet connectivity that fails at least a half dozen times per day.
