Funny, I thought it was paid (at a substandard rate BTW) for services offered.

Getting paid for services rendered is not a grant, not free government money and in fact because the government payments to the medical profession are way below the normal rates is is questionable that the payments are that desirable.

Remember: She is a POLITICIAN and as a result there is a tremendous inner compulsion to lie. They cannot help it. Politicians even lie to themselves while looking in the mirror while brushing their teeth in the morning.
I support Palin 100%, but I too hate to see the press become rabid against all conservatives.

It’s perfectly legitimate, but that really isn’t the point. As with her denial of receiving farm subsidies, which is ALSO legitimate, michele bachmann CHOSE to lie about it. Why lie when the proof is so readily available? How many times can you lie until no one believes you anymore?
She has also accused obama of using ALL of our strategic oil reserve. How many mistakes like that can you make before people start thinking maybe you don’t have a clue?
