I fully believe she is being lifted up to this task by God Himself.

- - - - - -
You are as bad as the Mormons who think Glenn Beck or Mitt Romney is the fulfillment of a prophecy of Joseph Smith made in 1844.

I support Sarah, but she isn’t running. And I certainly don’t worship her like some on here do.

A quote from CS Lewis (from the Screwtape letters) comes to mind that, from looking at your posting history might fit you...

“Let him begin by treating the Patriotism or the Pacifism as a part of his religion. Then let him, under the influence of partisan spirit, come to regard it as the most important part. Then quietly and gradually nurse him on to the stage at which the religion becomes merely part of the “cause”, in which Christianity is valued chiefly because of the excellent arguments it can produce...Once you have made the World an end, and faith a means, you have almost won your man, and it makes very little difference what kind of worldly end he is pursuing. Provided that meetings, pamphlets, policies, movements, causes, and crusades, matter more to him than prayers and sacraments and charity, he is ours—and the more “religious” (on those terms) the more securely ours. I could show you a pretty cageful down here. “

Be very careful not to let your worship of any candidate or politics in general become more important than God. It is a fallacy that God has handpicked ANYONE to be president, He can work His will through anyone, Sarah or not.

I will consider Sarah Palin as a candidate, when she announces and not before then.

Nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyaaaah-nyah.

I hope you are joking. Even so, it seems unfunny. Palin, no matter her qualifications, is a controversial candidate. However unfair it may be, she is loathed by a good segment of the country, in numbers close to her support.

The media have successfully demonized her; this is why the Bachman demonization is happening now. Part of this is the press, and part the other candidates (esp. Romney and Pawlenty). They want any conservative woman to be politically radioactive. No movie, no matter how inspiring to Palin's supporters, will change that.

Face it: you're beating a dead horse. Palin may decide to run, but there's no campaign until then.

Very well said. Ignore Gargantua. There is no way they are for real, or simply just using humor in posts. They are like a 12 year old spammer troll trying to make Palin supporters look pathetic in mockery.

12 year old spammer troll is an apt description. They are also hurting Sarah more than helping her should she decide to run.

It now appears that AMC has pulled the plug on all of the initial ten theaters that originally showed "The Undefeated."
Movietickets.com has NO SHOWTIMES posted online after Thursday, July 28 -- except for the new four theaters just added. :(
It appears that those of us who live near the original theaters have been TESTED, and found wanting.
Not sure exactly what this means for Governor Palin's campaign, but we need to prepare for the "blowback" from this -- which may be substantial.

Let's not be overly dramatic. Did anybody seriously think people would flock to movie theaters to see what is basically a 90-minute campaign ad? It wouldn't matter if this was a documentary about Obama, Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan. Unless it has car crashes or special effects, most people aren't going to shell out full movie price to see a documentary.

I was always puzzled by the decision to show this in theaters to begin with. Something like this will get a lot of mileage on TV, distributed on demand like Netflix and even as a regular on-demand feature of ComCast or Verizon. Then as the campaign kicks into gear, hand out DVDs at campaign rallies and show clips from the movie right before campaign speeches.

That's how I would distribute this film. Expecting it to be a box-office hit like Harry Potter or Spiderman is just crazy.

Perhaps you are correct.

At minimum, however, this strategy of a limited opening with no advertising created an unnecessary box office fiasco -- which makes Governor Palin look bad, IMHO.

It is Bannon's movie, so it is not Sarah's call. However, my guess he has a Plan B and Plan C mindset i.e the other distribution models. It does seem however, that no matter what she does, their are dark forces always at the ready to squash her, ergo the film industry probably did nothing to promote or give this a shot @ success @ the retail level. It is not in Big Media's best interest.

A long shot would be to put this on Showtime and or HBO.... That might be the perfect medium for it...

I am certain that I will soon get the usual childish insults in reply but they will not change the facts.

There is no need to change facts. Hollywood movie makers and their investors typically tend to try to maximize profit. They invest in an idea and hope for returns that are monetary.

Palin seeks to maximize exposure of the message and I suspect the theater release was all about free publicity.

Is that so? They want to make money?

Palin had, according to those here who swear that they know, nothing to do with the production of the film. And, the theater owners cut a deal with the sales agent and/or distributor based on one thing only....they hoped people would want to see the film; the gambled and lost.

Getting a message out does not figure into the equation for the exhibitors at all.

I would agree. Those that are seeking or sought financial gain have yet to see a windfall. In that regard one could say thus far it is not a success.

as far as getting the message, that still is to be determined as to success.

We talk apples and oranges here as far as perspective, participants, and even measures of success. The fact is you can not just look at box office and claim all interests have either failed or succeeded and what the future prospects of success or failure are as your original post implied.

One never knows how these things turn out until after the fact -even financially.
