The usual suspects of course... but also a few for whom John McCain was a thoroughly uninspiring (in fact, a risible) candidate, and consequently allowed themselves to be swept up in the hollow promises and empty rhetoric of Obama. If they are not now ashamed or at least disgusted with themselves, they ought to be.

I'd like to see all of them respond on the record to the following question:

"You were gung-ho for Obama in 2008. How's all of that hopey-changey stuff been workin' out for ya? Would you like to give him four more years?"

McCain needs to be at the top of that list.

He was running as the repub candidate. He had a team to dig up information on his opponant. The information was out there. It was all over talk radio for months even before the marxist muslim got the nomination.
McCain played the part of the opposing team to the Harlem Globetrotter obama team.

The whole election was a show.

IMO McCain got a deal from the obama camp. The deal was to run as the opponant, but don’t run too hard. McCain told the world that we had nothing to fear from his esteemed colleage. Remember that? In return, he would get to keep his senate seat (he won in ‘10) and retire to a comfortable life later down the road. Recently McCain is insulting the tea party people just as any dimrat would.

Several of them completely and blindly bought into the hopey-changey, unicorn fart rainbow cloud. Others were obviously anti-McLain/Palin.

They all showed a staggering lack of discernment.

Mainly, though, I was thinking, "...and where are these people now?"

CC Goldwater, Granddaughter of Barry Goldwater
"Nothing about the Republican tickets offers the hope America needs to regain its standing in the world, that's why we're going to support Barack Obama."

Here is where conservatives got beat. McCain was so bad that people either stayed home "to teach the Republicans a lesson" or voted for the "magic negro" in hopes that something would change.

I love seeing that smug RINO Colin Powell being made to look stupid. That is quite a list of Washington Cocktail Party Circuit toadies. The kids of former Republicans are a joke, who cares what the spawn of Eisenhower has to say. The quotes pre-election are classic. Where is Colon Blow now, hanging out with Bush Senior and the rest of the checked pants RINO frauds.

Shows that “sons of/daughters of/grandchildren of” people should be ignored. The fact that someone is related to someone else should never be given ANY merit. Well known examples of people given a microphone only because they have been given a famous name are Megan McCain and Ron Reagan Jr. I am also not a fan of spouses filling out terms of office when the office holder is deceased.

Despite her sickening fawning and swooning over Obumbles, Noonan did state before and after the election that she voted for McCain.
Of course, there was no winning either way with the worst choices for President in U.S. history.

Colin Powell, Secretary of State under Bush 43

"...he has met the standard of being a sucessful president, being an exceptional president. I think he is a transformational figure. He is a new generation coming into the world-- onto the world state, onto the American stage, and for that reason I'll be voting for Senator Barack Obama."

Translation: He's black.

Ah, yes- William Milliken. Who stabbed Richard Headlee in the back on election eve by endorsing Blanchard(the Dem). Milliken endorsing Obama was hardly a shocker after what He did to Headlee. Bill Milliken, RINO extraordinaire.

I have a serious issue with the title of this thread. By definition, no “conservative” would ever have voted for our current Marxist presidente. Republicans yes, conservatives no.

“By definition, there’s not a conservative in the bunch.”

####

Exactly.

Mutually exclusive subsets.

Conservatives, definitionally, CANNOT support RaceMarxists.

Lincoln Chafee, Former United States Senator from Rhode Island

"As I look at the candidates in order who to vote for, certainly my kind of conservatism was reflected with Senator Obama...

I just love it when politicians think they can change the definition of words to suit themselves. By this moron's definition, I guess that means I practice my own "kind of Islamicism." Others might call it Christianity, but not me. I get to call things whatever I want. I also have a furry pet that meows and scratches my furniture - my dog Fido.

David Friedman, Economist and son of Milton and Rose Friedman

"I hope Obama wins. President Bush has clearly been a disaster from the standpoint of libertarians and conservatives because he has presided over an astonishing rise in government spending."

Milton is tut-tuting from above, and another unfortunate case of the apple falling far from the tree.

What is in common with all these names ? RINO’s and members of the Eastern Establishment blue bloods ! I am surprised that Pal Helmke was not on the list. Really surprises me that Jeffery Hart was on it ! Back in the 1980’s he slammed what has become known as Political Correctness especailly in the universities.
