He didn’t vote, of course. He’s a Governor. But he publicly advocated for both.

What the other Governors did or did not do will become relevant to this discussion when they announce their intention to run for president.

He doesn’t have a candidate, he hates them all equally.

It’s not my fault the GOP can’t come up with candidates who don’t meet the first, most important, non-negotiable principles of this free republic.

Revise that:

“But he publicly advocated for both.”
Prove it with a link, directly quoting the governor advocating TARP and increasing the debt limit.

Rick Perry and Democrat Joe Manchin send letter urging Nancy Pelosi and Congress to pass TARP.

Rick Perry and Nikki Haley publish Washington Post op-ed urging support for "cut, cap, and balance," which would have raised the debt ceiling by $2.4 TRILLION dollars.

Cut, cap, and balance support is a great thing. Far different than how it was characterized as “supporting raising the debt ceiling by $2.4 trillion”.
TARP made returns on investment.

Wait until tomorrow afternoon. The campaign is going to HAMMER Obama.

Get ready with your immigration, Gardasil, Trans Texas Corridor, and hairstyle diatribes. Better yet, go after Governor Perry’s family and corporate connections.
This is just starting to get FUN!

Cut, cap, and balance support is a great thing.

It would have raised the debt ceiling by $2.4 TRILLION dollars. That's a simple fact. What's so "great" about that?

If any of the "cuts" or "caps" actually "balanced" there wouldn't have been any need to borrow more money that this generation cannot possibly pay.

When you extricate yourself, check out what the rest of the country is having to deal with

There's a real world out here, you whining baby...a three member panel on the Federal Court in Atlanta just ruled large swaths of Obamacare unconstitutional...no conservative will allow Obama a shot at a 5th Living Document proponent on the Supreme Court

Good luck in there, clown

Democrats wouldn’t have a chance if Republicans had any courage of real conviction left in them.

“Too bad Perry doesn’t have any credibility in this whole thing”

Ironic, isn’t it.

Perry before his election: “I promise to secure the border...bla bla blaaaa.”

Two weeks after the election: “Secure the border? It ain’t gonna happen.”
